The Talk

I took a seat beside him and grabbed one of the glasses.

"You pouring or what? "

"That's rude Alina, you can say it more politely "

"Huh! don't get me started, what you did few minutes ago was more rude"

"Yah! I don't want you to go, also everybody left and it's just me and you and also... I wanted to talk to you "

"Yeah yeah first do what you want then talk it out "

"Alina, I want you to stay with me please just for the night, I am feeling a little low and I just want a company...........your company "

"You still pouring or should I make you "
I asked  in a sarcastic polite tone.

He laughed a little and then poured the drink.

"She don't like you that's why I... "

"I know who you are talking about, your girlfriend right ! , that small porcupine will never like me and so do I and I know for her you left me "

"Alina that's not the right reason.... "

"Yes it's not the right reason, the real one is you trust her more than me and you left your friendship for a shitty relationship, well can't blame you, your first crush right! "

"Alina, atleast listen to me.. "

"Nah ! I already have more than enough... "

I was cutting his every sentence until I felt a hand on my mouth. He suddenly stood up and shushed me.

"Now you will just listen understood sweetheart "
He said with dangerous eyes and I just nodded.

He then sat back and drank his whole glass.

"Desperate enough "
I commented and he just rolled his eyes. I laughed mentally as I miss irritating him.

"Actually ,I wanted to talk to her about it for a while now but I couldn't get a chance ,she seems so busy nowadays ,also I know I made a mistake "

Whatever mistake he was talking about don't tell me he regretted kissing me again.

As if he knew what I was thinking he said 

"I don't regret anything I did tonight, I just regret not listening  to you back then ,it was maybe a fling only and now I don't know how to put it but it was never love ,I realized  I love someone else and I wanted to breakup with her today but she left early  and you just came right in time, the feelings I hid for all this while came surfacing and I don't regret anything, also about your boyfriend..."

"He's not my boyfriend"

I said it too casually that his mouth hung open at that and then I told him the whole story.

"Oh , so that was the case ,and what is your answer then"

he fiddled with his fingers like a child waiting for a result.I stood up and went near him. Time for revenge.

I sat on the table deliberately touching our thighs, he was stunned by my action but didn't move.

I leaned using my arms on his hand rest and spoke slowly.

"What do you think?"

He took a sharp breath ,heart racing ,sweats bead on his forehead ,his condition was now what was mine minutes ago.

But it only lasted a minute before he pulled me into him and hugged me from behind.

"Whatever your answer is just keep in mind, I am not an easy guy to get rid off".

I was literally a red tomato by now ,how can he do this to me while himself struggling to keep his composure.

"So are you saying that the person you love is ...."

I deliberately stopped ,maybe I was wrong ,these type of feelings are common between us from the start and still he had a girlfriend all this while.I should not think like that right now but my feelings were overpowering me.

"Forget it .I need to go" I said standing up.

Nice ! now my mood all ruined .

I took a leap so he don't have the time to process everything and come behind me.

"At this point I don't even know what I am to him "I mumbled to myself trying to fight back the tears in my eyes.

The moment I got in the car I got pulled by a strong force and was pinned against my own car.

"You are not running this time, not again Alina" his eyes that were sparkly mist were now fuming with a mixture of anger, guilt, sadness .

"I am done with all this chase , look in my eyes" his voice so firm that my body automatically acted on his words.

"Ryan.." the words were not coming out.

The moment our eyes met, his all negative thoughts went away and his eyes were more sparkly than usual .

"Alina, I know I have hurt you more than I can imagine and we can't go back to past but right now I will do everything to do it right."

The thunder flashed behind the house and the drops were starting to pour. There's gonna be a thunderstorm soon.

"Let's talk later, it's gonna rain soon"I said avoiding the talk as I was not ready for his upcoming words.

"NO! If not now it will be never" he said with such a intensity that I couldn't even budge.

"I know I was so late to realize my feelings for that girl but do you think she will accept if I confess to her now"

here we go again, why wouldn't she, you are everything a girl can have , you are funny, charming, handsome, caring - a perfect boyfriend material I can have,but it's not me he is talking about , at this point I can literally feel myself tearing up but for a last time I took a deep breath and buried every emotion deep down within me.

"I don't know, stop asking me questions like this. Go ahead and see for yourself ."I told him bluntly.

There was literally a 3 min silence ,a heavy silence with now rain pouring over us but none of us care at this point , we were staring into each other eyes like forever.

After a long break which felt like an eternity, he spoke.

"Alina"

"I LOVE YOU"

NO, he didn't said that just now did he?

"Alina I know I don't deserve you ,your love but I will do everything I can to be able to achieve it ,I promise this time I will not let you down, just give me a chance pleasee" he said with his puppy eyes full with love.

Oh god! what is happening to me now.
