Jean's POV

I hissed in pain and glared at them as the damn extras threw me towards that cheap chief, whoever he is. They pulled me by my hair and made me get on my knees, and I did that.
"So you're Jean, huh?" The Chief questioned. Meh.
"Yeah. I am." I answered.
"I see, well you should be grateful to Li for saving your life otherwise you would've drowned to death. Anyway time for you to get to know the rules of our clan." He continued and I rolled my eyes. Well...yeah I am thankful that she did that but again there's probably something up, plus I'm stuck here in this stupid crap. But what the hell did he mean by rules? I sighed.
"Rules?" I asked while looking up at him and just then I got smacked by someone.
"How dare you question the chief again, punk?!" Some idiot said. I had an expressionless face. I was already so tired of this. Man, the fudge.
"Leave him now Kaiser so he can focus on what I have to say." Chief said and that Kai guy nodded, backing away. Phew finally some more space. Chief continued.
"So Jean, last night you almost died, Meg Li dared and risked her life to save you, she pulled you back to land and breathed you back to life. Took care of you and treated your wound on your heard because you hit it against the rock while falling. We do not save or do that and you're none of our business but now that you're saved and Li did that so you're supposed to marry her and make her your bride. Li go ahead and put that bracelet on his wrist. You guys are getting married right now, right here and that's how it is." He said. My head was spinning with all the damn information. Li nodded and moved closer to me, she held my hand and was about to put it on but I suddenly pulled away my hand and that bracelet fell on the ground.
"Ah-.." Li said while picking up the bracelet and blowing the dirt away, it was a golden chain like thing with a pearl in the middle.
"Hey! Behave yourself! If you dare resist any of this or do something against all this, you'll end up dying. It's either you do as asked or you die." The chief yelled. While I got another smack from one of the guys there.
".…" I had no response.
"Give me your hand my love.." Li said and I nodded. I let her put that thing on me. Everyone clapped and cheered. Some had stupid looks but meh whatever. I rolled my eyes.
"Congratulations, you're both officially married and are a couple now." The chief stated. What have I got into..tch.
"I'm really happy and pleasured to be able to marry you, I'll make sure to be a good wife and take care of you my dear husband." Li said while kissing my hand. I just looked at her.
"Alright Li, you can go to your room with him. The meeting is over, tell him to not try something funny for the sake of you both." Chief said and Li nodded. "Mhmm~" She hummed and helped get up. We both went back to her, or well our, room. I sighed and sat there. She tried talking with me and stuff but I was really stressed.
"What's wrong hubby, do you not like me..?" She asked while cupping my face. I felt bad for her but I was too stupid to do something nice to comfort her. 
"Leave me alone for now, I'm really stressed." I said.
"Ahh, I'll take care of you, you can sleep." She said while taking my head in her lap and gently massaging it. It felt nice. No it didn't. Argh what's wrong with me. I moved away and closed my eyes. So what's how my life changes how? But what about the company? Why did no one come look for me? I didn't know when but I fell asleep and the next thing I know is, when I woke up. I saw Li cuddled and snuggled into me. I slowly and carefully got up and walked out. No one was there. Thank God. It was dark and quiet. I slept a lot huh and damn it I'm hungry and feeling sick but this is my only chance to escape so I have to be careful. Sun will be up in the sky fully soon.

Narrator's POV

Li woke up while Jean tried getting away from her and secretly followed him. As soon as she figured he's planning to leave, she went to the Chief and told him about it. It was around 5 in the morning by the time he was able to find the boat and get it into the water.
"Good acting, chief." One of the guard said as they saw Jean leaving.
"Hah." The chief said while smirking.
"Thank God I can finally get away from all this." Jean said to himself when someone suddenly sat up and he saw it was Li.
"Hey~" Li said while smiling and kissing his cheek.
"What the hell are you doing here?" Jean asked her, startled.
"I'm going to our home with you my loveeee." Li said.
"No! You can't come with me!" Jean exclaimed.
"I can!! We are married and I'm your wife! You can't leave me here now!! I wanna go with you and take care of you and love you!" Li said to him. He tried resisting but she kept on begging him and he had no choice but to agree because he thought by now all are awake at the Island and they are already far away from there. Li hummed in her lovely voice which somehow perfectly calmed Jean down and helped him be at ease. Li clinged with him the whole time, avoiding any water particle that could fall on her. By night, around 8PM, they finally reached the city and Jean took her to the apartment with him. He ordered food for them and they ate it. Li looked around the penthouse and was in awe.
"Our house is so pretty!!!" She squealed with excitement while looking around.
"Ooh a boarddd" She said while erasing some stuff Jean wrote on it.
"Hey hey! Don't touch my stuff or do that!" He said while re-writing what she erased.
"Go sleep now, I'll sleep in the room and you'll sleep here on the couch." Jean said.
"Oh..okay.." Li said and they both headed to bed and fell asleep shortly.
