VI - Café Date

Aki enters the storage room, only to see Unmei playing with a Nobel Super Sour Candy on her tongue, chanting "Shuwa Shuwa!".

Aki grimaces at Unmei's "Shuwa Shuwa-ing", "What the hell are you doing...?". He crosses his arms, tilting his head.

Unmei jumps, "Uwah! Wuh-Wuh Where did you-!? Oh...hey Topknot!". She waves at Aki, grinning.

Aki sits beside Unmei, "Uhm, so I've wanted to ask you something...". He shifts closer to her, giving a coy smile. "So...erm...wanna...h-hang out...? I-I mean, it's okay if you don't wa--".

Unmei places her finger on Aki's lips, returning a smile to him, "Shh. It's fine. I'd wanna come with you anytime...as long as it's not a boring place or something like that! Now tell me, what's your plan? I'm all ears!".

He removes Unmei's finger from his lips, "Ah...that's good to know...So, would you like to go to a nearby café sometime?". Aki waits in anticipation, fidgeting with his fingers.

"Sure, sounds pre-tty fun! When are we going? Ooh, another question. Where are we going?", Unmei grins, her eyes filling with excitement.

"When...? Where...? Ah, I didn't have this planned out at all...well, we can meet at the cafe closest to your place. And when are we going? Depends, when do you wanna go?", Aki tilts his head, waiting for a response from Unmei.

Unmei begins to think, circling her temples with her fingers. Obviously using up all of her brain capacity just for one question, "Since I'm not all nice and cute for you in my uniform, maybe we can wait an hour for both of us to get ready...in our best outfits, of course. Sound good?"

"Huh, that's actually a really good idea...well...should we get started trying to find an outfit to wear?"

"Hehe...IT'S TIME TO D-D-D-DUEL!", Unmei immediately jumps up from the floor, raising her fist in the air with an even bigger grin than last time.

"Duel...?", Aki raises an eyebrow.

Aki sits on a bench next to the café, smoking, "Is there a time when she isn't late...?", he sighs.

"Boo!", Unmei grabs Aki's shoulders from behind, smiling.

Aki turns around, looking at Unmei, almost choking on the smoke from his cigarette because of Unmei's choice of clothing, "Ack...what the...what are you, 5?". This clothing choice has ruined this entire date that he was looking forward to, due to the fact she looked like a child...

Unmei sways her hips around, obviously in a good mood, "No, I am not! What makes you say that?".

"Well...the thing you're wearing right now just screams "It's my first day of second grade!".", Aki slightly smiles at the outfit.

"Tch, shut it! It's not my fault I like Sanrio!", Unmei slouches onto the bench next to Aki, "Oh, and...I need to tell you something before we go in. I don't even like coffee or the smell of it. So can we sit out here for our date?"

"This isn't a date, and plus, why even go to a café if you don't even like coffee? But sure, we can sit out here, I guess.", Aki shrugs, going into the café.

Several blackbirds perch on an overhead powerline, looking in Unmei's direction, "Keeewwwwllll...those birds are looking straight at me.", Unmei grins, waving to the blackbirds, "CHUNCHUN CHUNCHUN KAW-KAW CHUNCHUN!!!".

Aki returns with two paper coffee cups, sitting next to Unmei, "What the hell are you doing?".

She looks back at Aki, still grinning, "I'm talking to those birds on that powerline over there!".
