As the group of teen awakeners make their rounds to feed the cats, they couldn't help but notice Subin being strangely quiet.
"The hell is wrong with you?" asks Jisuk as he rests his arm on her head.
"Subin, are you okay? You've been so quiet," says a worried Jiwoo. Wooin nods as he pets a cat.
Sigh. "It's nothing like that guys.." she begins. Then pauses. "the Frame contacted the Union this morning for a favor."
"WHAT???" yells Jisuk. Wooin perks up from petting the cat and shock is visibly written on Jiwoo's face. Not to mention Kayden and Kartein are suddenly interested in the conversation.
"Wait. Does it have to do with the Frame Five?" asks Jisuk. "Jiyoung was talking about it earlier."
"The Frame Five? What's that?" asks Jiwoo.
"A branch from the Frame kidnapped 5 awakeners as kids to raise as secret weapons to gain power and take over the entire organization. The typical villain arc story. Sucks for those idiots though because they were caught by other members of Frame and the whole thing was taken down." explains Jisuk.
Subin nods and adds on. "But because of the current situation in the world for awakeners, the Frame decided to return the children to their families to avoid war. Turns out, most of them are from prestigious families with a lot of power."
"So what does that have to do with the Union?" asks Jiwoo.
"Apparently...one of the awakeners was taken from a Korean orphanage. They want the Union to figure out what to do with her." says Subin.
"Jerks. They can't even fix their own issues," scoffs Jisuk. "Do you have more info on the awakener?"
"The Frame is sending a classified file with their information tomorrow actually. I heard Shinhwa, Mir, Baekdu, and the others are gathering to view it because they're going to arrive in 2 days." says Subin.
(Time skip to when Jiwoo is at home)
"What a mess," scoffs Kayden. "Not surprised that Frame would pull a stunt like this though."
"They made the right choice to return the kids," exclaims Kartein. "Things would've gone ugly if a war was caused by this incident."
"This must be shocking for the awakener..." says Jiwoo while playing with one of the cats. "I hope they can adjust to living here."
Kayden and Kartein look at each other, both thinking how much of a softie this kid is.
"They'll be fine," says Kayden. "I bet being in that place was hell anyways. Those operations are run by cruel people, killing awakeners when they're not strong enough and torturing students past their limits."
"Ah." says Jiwoo. "That must've been hard." he says with a gloomy expression.
"Yes, that's why you need to train hard and get stronger to avoid those kinds of people." says Kayden.
"Yes sir!" exclaims Jiwoo.
"Those fighting maniacs. Tsk tsk." mutters Kartein as he drifts away to sleep.
