Not What I Want, But What I Need

Chapter 5:The Call

Selena pressed her ear to the back of the phone as i pressed it to the front. i quickly shoved her back and she fell onto her bed laughing well i continued with the call. The phone only rang a couple of times before i heard the familiar raspy deep voice.

"Hello?" I tried to act normal but being me I'm the complete opposite of normal.

"Hi it's urh M-Mia Sanche-ez" i could feel my cheeks heat up. I miss pronounced my own name when i said chez it sounded like cheese. I could hear a low chuckle on the other end.

"Mia hi i was hoping to get a call from you" i crawled up on my bed because i could tell Selena was listening.

"Oh really?"

"Yes really, after running into your friends at the club i was especially hoping they told you about the little conversation we had so you would definitely call me" I could actually feel the smirk on his face.

"Well i called" I let out a nervous laugh.

"I'm glad you did, because i wanted to ask you if you'd like to go on a date with me tonight?" a big smile grew across my face as i nodded. Oh, wait, were on the phone dang it i need to stop doing that.

"Yes, i would love to" I said with a lot of excitement in my voice.

"Ok I'll pick you up tonight at 7, Where do you live in a none creepy way?" i laughed telling him my address and finishing up with 'see you tonight' barely coming out through my giant smile.

I hung up and got down from my bed  i had barely set both feet on the floor when i was tackled to the ground and hugged. Selena got off me and was looking down at me with such an evil smile.

"I'm Going to make you look B-E-A-UTIFUL!"

"Are you calling me ugly?"

"Of Course I'm no-"

"DON'T LIKE IT DON'T LOOK AT IT! You think you would be used to my face by now we've been friends forever and nows the time you decide to tell me this? Before my first date I just can-" My rant was stopped as the back of Selena's hand connected with my cheek. She grabbed me by my shoulders and started to shake me.

"Pull Yourself Together Man!" i just stared up her blankly in shock. i did lose it for a second.

"I'm sorry I'm just nervous..really nervous" She just smiled and got off me. She pulled me off the ground to stand.

"That's why I'm going to help you but you need to stop freaking out and take my advice young grasshopper"

"Oh great call me insect maybe that will boost my self esteem" Selena raised her hand to me and i flinched "Alright alright jeez i'll listen" she just smiled and skipped to her closet. I looked at the clock we only had an hour. "Selena we only have an hour"

"No problem but you have to do everything i say."

"oh great this is gonna be fun a little visit from Mrs.boss a lot." i muttered under my breath luckily she didn't hear me. She went all extreme make over Mia addition. I was wearing a tight black min-skirt and a red spaghetti strap shirt with lace on the top. i didn't let her near my face with that make up. She made my hair wavy which i didn't mine but the whole outfit was rather too revealing for me. the only other thing she gave me was a black lace jacket which wasn't really a jacket it was long sleeved but the bottom only went a bit bellow my chest. The only things of my choice that i wore were my rose necklace and my red converse.

"Alright it looks like you might be ready for your date" she took a step back and looked me over."

"Might?" i said obviously still nervous.

"Nope you're perfectly ready" She gave me a reassuring smile i grabbed my notebook and tore out the first page of my 'perfect guy' description. "Wait why are you ripping that out?" she look worried which was surprising considering i'm the one going on  date.

"So i can compare him to it?"

"Are you serious?" she gave me a look that perfectly matched her words.

"Yes I am why?"

"You can't just compare the guy to some perfect person you created in your own mind" She poked me in the head and i slapped her hand away.

"Listen i made a rule as long as a guy matches 90% of the things on this list he's 'perfect' i already know Richard doesn't match the appearance but that's only like 5% so it could work."

"That is the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard in my whole entire life" i frowned at her and looked at the clock it was almost 7. When she turned to look at the time i shoved the list  into my bag. "Ok so now we wait" she sat on her bed and i sat on the spinning chair for Selena's desk. Not but 5 seconds after we sat there was several small taps on the door.

Both me and Selena shot up and walked over to the door, i shooed her away to have some privacy. she scurried to the bathroom and i know she was listening. i looked at the clock it was 6:55. I opened the door to see Richard he looked how do i put this. Sexy. I'm ashamed but he was wearing black pants with a black leather belt, a light blue button up short sleeve shirt that was tucked in and might i add he smelt amazing. His green eyes lit up when i opened the door. It was one of the most adorable things i've ever seen.

"Well hello, You look amazing" he flashed me an incrediable smile. This made him sexy to adorable back to sexy in a matter of seconds. His apperance was practically bipolar. This was going to be amazing.
