Ryuu's POV
As Alton walked off I had a bad feeling about this, Clayton looked at me with an even more concerned look on his face, I sighed and looked at him, knowing what he wants to ask me but even so, I stayed quiet and just let him ask me that question.
"What's wrong with Alton? What happened during the war?" Clayton asked me.
I knew it would be that question. . .
"Look, I think the most important thing right now is to do as we was ordered and take care of the people here, give them the slowing down liquid and let Cosmo do his job to create a cure. . . Then we can worry around him. Okay?" I said to him.
"But-"
"No buts, Alton will be very mad at us if we don't do our job and just worry about him, true or false?" I asked him.
"That's true. . ." Clayton said to me.
I nodded my head and looked towards the path Alton left towards, I started to walk over there to get more of the liquid however, there was a thought at the back of my mind that I couldn't ignore.
I hope it's not him.
Nobody's POV
Alton got to where Elexis made even more of the liquid and put as many as he could in the basket and carried them away. He noticed Ryuu walking in the opposite way to him and when they went to walk past, they made eye contact.
"Is there more?" Ryuu asked him.
Alton nodded his head and looked at Ryuu as he did. "Yes, she made many more, however, I think she made too much." He responded.
"Better too much than not enough right?" Ryuu asked him.
"That's true. . And once the cure is made I think I have an idea for the people too." Alton said outloud but quietly.
That's when Ryuu moved his eyes towards Alton and looked at him. However, Alton just kept walking, Ryuu sighing knowing fully well that he won't get an answer yet since Alton's priorities is the village people and getting them better.
Alton looked to the front of where he was going. He started to hand out the liquid while Clayton walked up to him, eyes still holding concern in them. Alton noticed this and still carried on handing out the liquid as he did. "If it's about earlier don't worry about it it was only a headache." Alton said to him.
". . . No sir Cosmo have finished the cure and it is working." Clayton spoke up.
Alton looked at him with the other villagers and Clayton smiled as they all looked at him. Alton gave the basket to Clayton for him to take over and rushed over to the home, when he got there he saw the mother up and well. Alton moved his attention towards Cosmo and walked in further.
"You finished it already?" Alton asked him.
Cosmo turned his head and smiled at him, as he made eye contact. "Yes my lord! However, it will take a long while to make more and with the stuff I have here it's going to take even longer so-"
Before Cosmo could even finish that sentence Alton spoke up. "Don't worry about that, I can help there." Alton said to him.
Cosmo looked at him and the mother that was laying there resting. Alton had Cosmo follow him outside and that's when Alton stood on some boxes climbing up and looking at the people. "Can I have everyone's attention!" Alton said loudly, gaining everyone's attention. "From now on everyone that is infected by this virus will be going to one of the other estates I own. You will be treated there and then once your all better you'll be able to return back home. Tell the guards from the other villages too. And transport the people immediately." Alton ordered.
"Yes, my lord!" Everyone shouted.
That's when they all got too work and Cosmo gave the guards instructions on how to create the cure to give to the staff in the other estates. Alton turned to everyone else and looked at them, no emotion once again. "now then let's go back home shall we?" He asked them all.
All of them smiled and nodded their heads at the words he spoke. All of them started to get in the carriage that was going to take them home. Once all of them was in say the in same places they did while travelling to the village. "Alton are you sure they'll manage on their own?" Elexis asked him.
"Yes I'm sure. . They should be more than capable of doing that on their own, if not then they really are incapable of everything." Alton said to them all.
Cosmo looked at them and then gave a small laugh at their words. "I gave them the instructions so all they need to do is follow them. If they follow them the way I wrote them then there shouldn't be any issues at all." Cosmo said to them.
Now all I need to worry about is him.
