The Day We Met You

Poison and Girl returned to the others. He sat her down in the booth seat opposite of Kobra before brushing his brothers feet off the table top.

" Hey!" he protested

" Come on dude let's have some manners." he scoffed

Kobra looked up to see Girl

" Hey Missile Kid! How ya doing?" He asked

" Okay." she smiled

" Your arm doesn't hurt too much does it?" he asked  turning his attention to the bruise protruding out from under the bandage on her arm. 

" A little bit but I'm okay." She insisted upon seeing him frown in worry

" what a champ." he said putting his fist out to fist bump her

She slammed her fist into his

" woah!" he said actually shocked d at how hard she had hit " your crazy strong. I bet you could take on a whole fleet of Drcas all by yourself with just one punch!"

She giggled at the thought

Poison had not seen Kobra happy in a while. Sure he wasn't all doom and gloom but overall he was very quiet. Seeing him smiling and joking around was a positive change.

They all had breakfast together and just chatted about the previous day. Ghoul read the Zone newspaper from several days earlier out loud leaving out some of the gruesome details of the current events.

Girl seemed uneasy the more Ghoul read the paper. She sat silently after she finished eating and just looked down at her hands. Poison excused himself and took her with him. He sat her on the couch and knelt next to her.

" You okay?" he asked seeing how nervous she looked.

She slowly nodded yes. Pause. she shook her head no.

" Do...do I have to go back?" she asked quietly as if she was afraid to ask

" Not if you don't want to." Poison said

" Mommy's gone...I'm alone." she explained tears welling in her eyes. Poison engulfed her in a gentle hug.

" You don't have to go back to the city, you can stay with us." Poison said reassuring her

" Really?" she sniffled

" Absolutely! You'll never have to be alone again, and that's a promise." he said as Jet,Ghoul and Kobra came into the room.

" Everything okay?" Jet asked standing behind Poison.

" Oh yeah, right sunshine?"

she smiled and nodded

" I was thinking maybe we should go for a drive this afternoon, once the sun goes down little, give a little tour around the area." Ghoul said

" what do you think? Sound like a plan?" Poison asked turning to girl

" yes please!" she said

" Alright then! looks like we got a plan." Ghoul said ( he loves long mindless car rides and will take any opportunity  to go on one lol)

 " Oh! I was meaning to ask you"  Jet chimed in " how's your arm feeling?" He asked Girl

" It's okay" she said looking at is uneasily 

" Is it alright if I re wrap it? The bandages are falling off."

she nodded reluctantly

" I'll leave you to that Jet, I wanna talk to these two for a sec." Poison said standing up dragging Kobra and Ghoul with him out into the diner
