The Day We Met You

Shopping trip

Girl stayed close by Jet and Kobra, not wanting to stay far from any of the Killjoys. She had never been in a store like this before, it was not all grey with only BLI products on the shelf. It was not guarded and regulated either. the shelf's were covered in colorful products like laundry detergent and chewing gun, lighters, fidget spinners, cereal, pocket knives. Lots of random trinkets. She was fascinated by this new world.

"What do you think?" Jet asked patting her head

"It's so big and colorful....wow!" she exclaimed looking at everything. Party and Kobra went to go look at items they needed for back at the diner while Ghoul and Jet stayed with Girl allowing her to explore the store.

"Hey sunshine, come here" Kobra called from across the store. Girl ran to him and he picked her up.

"wanna try something good?" He asked. she nodded in response. Kobra takes a few coins and puts them on the counter, since nobody was there to collect it now. He goes and gets a bar of something, wrapped in brown and gold foil, he starts unwrapping it.

"what is it Kobra?"

"Chocolate. It's a candy, it's really sweet. You'll love it trust me" He says, breaking off a small piece and handing it to the girl who was still in his arms. She takes it cautiously and puts it in her mouth. Her eyes go wide.

"yum!!" She says happily no longer scared of this mysterious treat, Kobra gives her another small piece.

"see I told you this was good stuff" He says laughing quietly. "You cant have too much right now or Jet's gonna get all pissed cause you didn't save room for dinner. But you can have more for dessert." He explains putting the candy in his bag. Girl nods in understanding and rushes off to Poison,Jet and Ghoul. 

"what did you guys get?" she asks curiously

"boring stuff. Some matches, water, more power pup. Since we got you to look after now we gotta make sure were fully stocked right kiddo?" Party says hugging her

"You got something on your face sunshine" Ghoul says pointing to her cheek

She wipes it off her face "Kobra gave me chocolate!"

"Oh he did huh"

"yeah he's so nice!" she runs over and gives Kobra a hug

Poison laughs and ruffles his little brothers hair. Kobra looked embarrassed to have all the attention on him for a moment.

"you know Kobra you look all scary but your so nice" Girl said looking up at him. 

She was right Kobra did have a certain intimidating presence about him. the tense posture the sunglasses, the quietness and never participating in activities the others were. He was a little spooky but that didn't fool Girl. She knew he was just a big sweetheart with a heart of gold.

"your right kiddo, I don't know what we'd do without out Kobra kid"
