Julie came home a while later and I acted as if nothing had happened. I didn't want her to know I knew. She informed us that they were playing a dance. yes, its not ideal but it would help them get more gigs. Julie knows I want to play and stuff but she also knows how important it is to me proving the guys wrong. Before we died, the guys always had to be right!

This was just a little revenge. Luke and Reggie were leaning against the piano and Julie was watering the plants. Reggie was looking at the flyer. "We're playing a school dance? Sweet!" he says. "its not exactly the strip." Luke says, kind of disappointed.  "and you're not exactly alive, so you should be happy we have our first gig." Reggie says.

"I wasn't in love with the idea at first either, but it could be a great way for us to build a following, right?" Julie says. "yeah. yeah. we need to play wherever we can, whenever we can." Reggie says. "no, you're right." Luke agrees. "lets rock those kids' faces off and then play the clubs."

"and then record a single that gets a billion streams?" Julie says. "I don't know what that is, but hopefully it gets us a manager and a tour." Luke says. "then we release a bunch of hit albums." "put out a country album that does surprisingly well." Reggie says. Julie gives him a look. "I shred on the banjo, so.." "then I'll learn how to fiddle." Julie says, fist bumping Reggie. " and before you know it, we're being inducted into the rock 'n roll hall of fame." Luke says.

"but one of us isn't there, because we had a blowout in 2032." Reggie says. "my moneys on Alex. he's so sensitive."  "what are we waiting for? let's get rehearsing!" Luke says. "uh... where is Alex?" Julie asks.

we waited for a while but Alex never showed so they just started rehearsing with out him. "one more time." Luke says over the instruments. Alex walks through the door. "oh, hey, Alex." Reggie greets him. "where have you been? we need to start practicing. " Luke asks. "yeah, for what?" Alex asks.

Flynn walks through the door "dance news! I don't have a date, but I don't care because I'm so psyched to see you guys play!" Flynn says. "oh man! we're playing a dance?" Alex groans. " of course, dude. thats how we get a following nowadays." Luke says, sitting down. "yeah, get with the program, Alex." Julie says, looking at Luke because he wasn't always a big fan of the dance idea.

"what? the guys are here? Hey, guys!" Flynn says, waving in the wrong direction. "other way, sweetie." "oh." Flynn waves in the right direction now. "ok, well, now that Alex has graced us with his presence, can we start working?" Luke asks. "yes! we're gonna rehearse. you want to stick around?" Julie asks.

"I'm supposed to blow up 500 balloons for the school dance, but this sounds way better." Flynn admits. We hear a voice behind Flynn, its Carlos. "hey, Julie. Remember those orbs in dads picture?i.. I think they're ghosts."

Carlos says, walking through Alex. "but don't worry. this room is...is... This room is clean. I'm not getting the ghost tingles." Carlos says. "wrong again, little dude." Reggie says. "have no fear. if they come back, I will protect you, because I am the man of the house." Carlos continues. "isn't dad supposed to be the man of the house?" Julie asks.

"there can be two. dad needs all the help he can get, right?" Carlos says, before grabbing something out of his pocket. "according to the internet, salt burns their souls out." "thats a lie.." I say. the guys look around terrified. I laugh at their reactions. "a little sprinkle will keep them from ever coming in here."

Carlos starts sprinkling salt around. Luke and Reggie get out of the way but Alex doesn't. "no! oh god, I'm..I'm fine. I'm fine, totally fine." Alex yells. Julie looks over at Flynn gesturing to get him outta here. "oh! Carlos, you know who's hungry? me. um, salt me a path to the kitchen." Flynn says.

They both leave. "shall we try this again?" Julie asks. "yes, please. but remind us later, there's some Sunset Curve songs to show you." Luke says. "ooh! show me now." Julie says. "yeah okay." Luke says, grabbing his note book to find a paper sticking out. "home is where my horse is?" Luke says. "Reggie, stop putting your country songs in my journal." "that was a gift." "thanks buddy."

Luke walks over to Julie. "you should maybe circle back..." Reggie starts. "I dog-eared ones that I think you would slay." Luke says as Julie flips through the pages, stopping at one page. "who's Emily?" Julie asks. "oh shit." I say, standing up and walking to Julie. "that ones not dog-eared." Luke says, trying to take his journal back.  Julie starts reading the lyrics. "Julie stop.." I say. "wow, Luke, I didn't know you were such a romantic."

"he's not. that one is actually about-" Alex starts. "no one. thats just something that I tried, and.. But if you go to the next dog-eared page, Ive got a tune thats just.. its got a killer beat." Luke says, changing the topic. Luke starts riffing with his guitar. I forgot that Bobby stole a bunch of songs..

"so you wanna sample." Julie says. "what do you mean "sample?" Luke asks. "sample someone else's music. me and mom used to sing that song at the top of our lungs all the time. its a classic Trevor Wilson song." Julie says.

"nope. its classic our song." Luke says, grabbing his notebook. "Pure Sunset Curve. never even heard of Trevor Wilson." Reggie says. "maybe you mixing it up, you know, with another song." Alex suggests. "I don't mix up songs. trust me." Julie says. "me and his daughter used to be best friends. I used to hang out at their place all the time. I know that song."

They all look at each other confused. "here." Julie says, grabbing her laptop. "ill prove it." Julie taps her keys and then turns the laptop around. "his first album had a bunch of hits, but none of his latest stuff is as good." Julie says.

the guys looked shocked. "thats Bobby." Luke says. "seriously? I just told you his name Is Trevor." Julie says. "ok, great. then... then he changed it, all right? thats defiantly Bobby. he was our Rhythm guitarist." Alex says.  "Trevor Wilson was in your band?" Julie jokes.

"I cant get over how old he looks." Reggie says. "oh.. he looks like a substitute teacher." Alex says. "Julie..what were his other hits?" Luke asks. "Get Lost." Julie names a song Luke wrote."yeah. I wrote that." Luke says, taking his guitar strap off his shoulder. "Long Weekend?" "yeah, Luke wrote that one too." Reggie says.

"Crooked Teeth?" "and that. it was about Reggie." Alex says. "what? I thought it was about you!" Reggie says. "I don't like song anymore." Reggie whispers. "wait. this is.. freaking me out. Trevors songs are kind of big to me. he's the one that introduced me to rock." Julie says. "yeah. Luke introduced you to rock." Alex scoffs.  Luke throws darts at the dart board.

"so this whole time, I thought you were connected to my mom. but instead, you're connected to Carrie's dad? out of all people, it had to be the one girl who had it out for me." Julie complains. "all right, we'll add it to out list of questions." Alex says. "back when Carrie and I were friends, the three of us used to talk about music all the time. he never mentioned you guys."

"and thats unbelievable!" Luke snaps. "he can take all the credit, and he doesn't even mention us?" "and he's rich. he has his own helicopter." Julie says. Luke gets more mad and throws a dart into the wall. "he has..he has a.. a helicopter." Alex says. "with his face on it." Julie says, showing the guys a picture of his house.

"and he parks it in front of that hotel?" Reggie asks. "no. he gets to park it in front of his mansion." Julie says. "mansion?" "dude, we live in a garage." Alex says. "its not about the money. its about the music!" Luke says. "its a little bit about the money." Reggie says. "a little bit about the money" Alex whispers. "he could have shared it with our families. maybe then my parents wouldn't have had their house turned into a bike shack." Reggie complains.

"what he did was steal our legacy." Luke says. he turns to Julie. "where does he live?" "above the beach in Malibu." Julie says. "lets go teach him a lesson." Luke says, grabbing his jacket." "wait. what? guys! we have to rehearse for the dance. this is our first gig!" Julie says before the poof out.

"I'm sorry Julie. but I better go and see what their gonna do.." I say, poofing out. I poof to Bobby's house and I see them looking around. Carrie is in the den but they don't seem to notice her.
