Beth's P.O.V
I kissed her I actually kissed her it was short and sweet I enjoyed it the feeling of her lips on mine was like a firework was set off in my heart. After pulling away I saw Anna was blushing and I could feel I was too Anna gave me a smile and kissed me again. I knew that I had to keep it a secret but her lips against mine felt good it may be harder than I originally thought not like I wasn't going to try tho. The two of us then smiled and nodded before heading home we didn't need to say a word those two kisses and the looks on our faces said it all. And as Anna had mentioned my parents were pissed I was home so late I tried to explain that went to the park with a friend but they weren't having it. I lay on my bed before I got a text from Anna saying she was scheduled to babysit on Saturday next week I smiled and texted back saying I can't wait.
"Beth Beth get up," Jake said as hopped up and down on my bed next to me I swear that kid is a living alarm clock.
"Go away," I said playfully throwing a pillow at him.
"Mom said you have to make breakfast because her and Daddy are leaving early for work," Jake said.
"There telling me this now clearly they are just punishing me for last night," I said as I sat up.
"What did you do last night," Jake said sounding innocent.
"None of your business now go get your butt downstairs I need to change," I said and he ran out of my room.
Me and my brother have a close relationship I love him with all my heart I just think my parents hoped I was a better influence. I dragged myself out of bed and pulled on some skinny jeans and a Fall Out Boy T-shirt before heading down to the kitchen. I got there and began to make eggs and bacon but Jake said he wanted pancakes as I told him he'll take what I give him and he sighed. After eating I went back upstairs and took a shower before replacing my t-shirt with a crop top and a hoody and slipped on some black Vans and driving Jake and me to our respective schools. When I got to school saw some guy yelling at Anna she just looked back with disinterest and disappointment that was until he shoved her. I know that our relationship was meant to be a secret but that didn't stop me from defending her as a friend so I stepped in.
"Hey back off," I said giving him a shove away from her.
"Beth," Anna said.
"Hey Anna this guy bothering you," I said acting as nothing more than a friend so she knew I was just being nice.
"He is a friend of a friend but he is just being an idiot," Anna said.
"I am not I am trying to get her to confess about getting my girlfriend to fully break up with me," The guy said speaking closer to us so I stepped in front of Anna.
"Back off or you will have me to deal with," I said.
"You watch your self Anna," He said walking off.
"Who the hell was that," I said turning to Anna.
"Harry, he is just a guy that doesn't take losing too well he will soon find someone else," Anna said.
"Well, he seemed pretty serious with that threat," I said.
"Maybe but he won't do anything at school he's not that stupid and thankfully he doesn't know where I live," Anna said.
"Nor do I," I said.
"Soon my love soon," I said with a slight chuckle before we headed inside.
I went in and had to leave Anna as our lockers were pretty far apart as I opened my locker and put my bag in the and took out my notebook for my first class I found a note and the back. I pulled it out a read it in my head it was from Hally I had forgotten about the whole breaking into the pool luckily she wasn't caught but was very close I would have to apologize to her. Got to my first class and the only seat left was next to Anna I hid the happiness from my face as I took my seat and the teacher began.
"Okay class I hope you are happy with the person you are sitting next to because they are going to be your partner for the next two weeks in your joint projects," The teacher said.
I could feel myself blushing and noticed out of the corner of my eye that Anna was too. I doubt the rest of the class was feeling the same way we were but I wasn't going to complain and I knew Anna wouldn't either. As the teacher went over the assignment we would have to complete I realized it would require us to spend a lot of downtime together. I was given a copy of the assessment and as it turned out we had to come up with an argument for and an argument against chaos theory one for each of us. The trick was to stage the essay like a debate with the two people both giving their points to the other a little much if you ask me but we had learned to expect more from this teacher. I put the assignment into my bag and looked out the window as I tried to avoid Anna's looks in the corner of my eye. When it got to lunch I saw Anna sitting with Jess so I decided to sit with them I guess I would be working with her for a while.
"Hey," I said as I sat down.
"Hey Beth right I was wondering if you could settle an argument for us," Jess said.
"That would depend on the argument," I said.
"Oh it's a good one," Anna said.
