Her Dream Girl // Sophie Thatcher (Complete)

21st birthday pt. 3

It's starting to get dark out, causing the colorful leds to be our main source of light. Some people have left already, leaving me with my closest friends.

We all have a few drinks in our system, except Sophie. She promised Raeden that she'd be my DD. Sophie was in the kitchen most of the night, until Kaylie brought her into the living room where everyone else is.

Now, I'm dancing to loud music with Athena. Kaylie, Jenny and Rae are somewhere around dancing aswell. When Kaylie brought Sophie into the room, she sat on the couch along with a couple other people. She's still there, watching me and Athena dance.

When I realized she was watching me, I decided to be funny and I asked Athena to flirt with me. So, for the past half hour, We've been dancing very close to eachother. We definitely could have been confused for a couple instead of friends.

"Maze!" Kaylie said in my ear. "What's up?" I yell over the music. "You have an audience." She yells. "Huh?" I ask, not really being able to hear her. "Sophie! She's been watching you two the whole time. She looks jealous." Kaylie yells.

I look over to the couch, making eye contact with the pretty brunette. I smile and wave with my fingers, receiving only a small wave back. "May I cut in?" Rae asks. "She's all yours." I say, leaving him with Athena.

Kaylie takes me off to the side, no where near Sophie. "You okay?" Shs asks. "No. I really like her. I was trying to make her jealous on purpose. Smack me please, I can't do this." I rant. "Baby girl, just go talk to her." Kaylie tells me.

"We already talked about it today. I told you, she thinks we aren't a good idea. But then she gave me such a cute gift that I would never have thought to give a friend, you know?" I cry. "Maze, I talked to her for a while in the kitchen. She likes you, dude." Kaylie says.

"But she sai-" I start but I'm cut off, "Maizy! Fucking go talk to her." I nod my head, giving in. I leave Kay, walking over to the other side of the room. When I see Sophie, she's watching Raeden and Athena dance with a smile on her face.

"How's it going, loner?" I joke. "Oh, you know. I'm chillin'" She says shrugging. "Come take pictures with me." I say, holding my hand out. She nods, taking my hand in hers. I lead her to the back of the house, into the guest room.

I've stay in this room many times. Whenever I don't want to sleep in an empty house I drive to Kaylies and sleep in her guest room. "You having a good time?" Sophie asks as I shut the door. "I am now." I laugh.
