The first round of testing finally approached, all the drivers were flying to Bahrain to get in testing prior to the season beginning. Geovanni was very happy to get in the car, even if it was simply for testing. Her family would all be traveling with her considering her Stepfather insisted this be taken as a validly vacation, she couldn't be more excited for them to come along because they'd be there for her first ever F1 race and it was the opening race of the season. She ran around her entire house grabbing things for her suitcase and for Astros, she needed to pack the essentials for both and their clothes though many brands had clothes they wanted the team to wear for certain occasions and of course the races. She finished getting the suitcases prepped and then called to check if her performance coach Matthew had her helmet and kit all ready to fly, she had designed various helmets for the season. Her main helmet that she'd wear through majority of the season and then her special helmets for, Italy, The Netherlands, Spain and Monaco. Geovanni was full of so many emotions, excited for the chance to finally be in Formula 1 but dread when it comes to seeing her father every race. Jos Verstappen is known for always being there for Max's races and not Geovanni's, he never set the time to go see her. He knew she was good but not enough to sit and watch for an hour, but Max in his eyes was championship material. As a child it always got to her as she would see her friends fathers always show up for races, especially Landos father. She grew up with the Norris family and they treated her like another one of their children but she longed for what Lando and his father had. Sure her mother was always there and she is still grateful to this day but she wanted that from her father, the need for that shortly left after she recognized he would never give a damn about her. Her stepfather Aston however made sure to be the father she always needed. He took her under his wing withoit being asked to, not doing it to please her mother but because he truly loved the girl. Geovanni never called anyone else her father but him, if you asked her who her father was she'd respond with  "Aston Moretti" every time because he did what he father was never capable of doing. Loving her. A huge wave of anxiety filled her body as she and Astro walked to the SUV that was picking up her and her family to take them to the Airport, opening the door was her brother Marc who immediately hugged Astro and placed him in his seat and Aston got out to help her out the bags in the back.

"Oh my sweet girl, how we've missed you." Aaron immediately hugged her and she hugged back. It had been several months that she had seen her parents and oh how she had missed them. As they pulled away Aston could tell her mind was elsewhere.

"I've missed you guys too." Her smile was genuine but behind her eyes she was beginning to overthink every possible outcome of this moment and those to come.

"I can see you're anxious figlia, do you need to talk about it?" Daughter. She shook her head no. The last thing she wanted to do was burden her family with her problems, especially in front of her son. The countless moments she could recall where she'd ask Max, Lando or Charles to take Astro for the day for her to be able to scream and cry without him there. Aston didn't want her to keep it all in but he didn't want to pressure her into speaking either so he nodded and the all got into the car and she was greeted by her Mother with a bug hug.

"Mama! God it's been too long, perdóname."Forgive me. Her mother held her for a while and then held her face in her hands smiling at her dearly, examining her to see what had changed while she was gone.

"Never apologize for going after your dream mija. Do apologize for not feeding yourself properly, I am making you your favorites the moment we arrive." Geovanni rollled her eyes as she smiles at her mother, then takes her seat next to her brother and Astro and they begin to make their way to the Airport. When they arrived they entered a private runway where the family jet sat waiting for them. They got down from the car and the flight attendants came and got their bags and put them into the plane, Geovanni placed Astro in the seat in front of her and strapped him in handing him his backpack that had all the things to entertain him for the 5 hour flight to Bahrain from Monaco. Geovanni sat back and rested her head against the headrest and her mind began to race thinking about the upcoming days, her little brother Marc sat in the seat next to her and placed his hand on top of hers and gave it a squeeze. She loved over at him and smiled, he knew better than anyone all the things that went through her head. Geovanni had dealt with so much pain from an early age, from her parents divorcing only 2 years into marriage making her believe it was only because her mother had become pregnant with her that her father stayed and after 2 years he left. Jos was never really there for her, if anything Max'a mother Sophie would be the only one to allow me and him to see each other when we missed each other because Jos would never plan a day he'd state "he was too busy." All of that was only her childhood, having to see her mother fall in love again and fearing her new husband wouldn't care for Geovanni but instead he became the father she deserved. When Geovanni was 17 she was in a relationship with her boyfriend of 3 years Ethan Manchester, they had experienced so much together many of those intimately. Geovanni found out she was pregnant at such a young age she was terrified, she went to him to tell him and he couldn't believe it and he left her stating that the child was hers and hers only. Ethan signed over all the rights to her before the child was even born and during that time Geovanni was in Formula 2 and Charles was as well so when he noticed she stopped her season midway for "health issues" he didn't buy it and he went to her parents house in Monaco to find out why the person who was leading the championship left mid season.
*Flashback*
Charles got out of the car immediately, thanking the taxi driver and walking up to the front gate of the house Geovanni lived in with her Mother and Stepfather. He buzzed in and when the butler of the house answered he told him he was there to see Geovanni and so they let him in. Charles stood at the front of the doorstep waiting for the door to open and when it did he was met with none other than Max Verstappen. The reason for his and Geovanni's rivalry.
