Three weeks ago.

"you guys are doing well.." John says. He works in the management industry and doesn't really give a shit about anybody that doesn't make him money. Some of our profits go to him sometimes but it mostly stays with us.
he wants us to have as much views and likes and subscribers as humanly possible. we've set up a tiktok, instagram and even a shared Snapchat account. anything to make sure the fans care about us.
It gets exhausting most of the time. Not being a content creator, but trying to keep up with the fans.
"Did you hear me?" He asks snapping me out of a stupid daze. I shake my head as he rolls his eyes. He's always been a straightforward asshole in a good way. "I said you need a girlfriend." My spine straightens at the word.
A girlfriend??? I don't want one. I don't need one. Why's he telling me to get one?
"Why?" I try not to sound as pissed as I am. I'm seriously pissed at him for suggesting that. A fan or a follower as a girlfriend? Using me trying to get close to me and my brothers? What's he thinking? I can't have that happen to me again.
"Don't worry we'll have someone that's also in the spotlight." I calm down at that. Someone that knows what it's like to be famous. But wait what the fuck?? Why am I considering dating a stranger?
"Okay I don't care about that. I don't want to date some random girl.." I try not to sound rude and I don't even know if there's a specific girl he wants me to be interested in. I just don't want to go out with anybody. Especially not for clout.
He looks distributed by my attitude but I don't care, "this podcast girl got about 1 Million views on her last episode." He says like he's bored and uninterested but really he's super interested. And so am I.
Me and my brothers have hit a million like once or twice but she's making it look easy. That much attention on a podcast.
I take a look at her content as John smirks knowingly. I hand him back his IPad trying not to show any interest. All those viewers. It's both a good and bad thing. All that attention.
"How would that work? Me and the guys are going to the beach house in a few months anyways. What is she gonna tag along?" I imagine her uprooting her life just to chase a guy she just met. Ridiculous.
"I know her manager." He says with a distant smile on his face. That's weird. He's never smiling. "She's going to get this girl... Naelani to agree. Right now you should focus on yourself. This is going to be a fake situation to get you both some more attention, her little podcast thing and your YouTube will get more fans. And it'll be more than good promo." He promotes.
