Cyno was still seething as he followed the man with the hat out towards Gandharva Ville. He was still worried about his intentions, and he knew if anything ended up happening to you just because a few regulars back at the tavern had croaked, he wasn't going to take it lightly.
This man was fast, but luckily, he was still able to keep up using his electro power. The closer they got to the forest rangers' camp, the more worried he grew.
If he couldn't stop this man in time, he knew you might end up having to use your powers and getting hurt again. Not only that, but it would also put the rest of the forest rangers at risk, considering their forest was very flammable.
He just had to make it close enough to Gandharva Ville that he could signal the forest rangers there and at least give them a warning for what was to come. That way, they might be able to help stop this man before he could reach you. More than that, though, he hoped you would at least be out of the way by the time they did arrive, rather than out in the open. That way, you'd be a little safer.
He still tried to remain hidden from the man's sight, despite chasing him down through the rainforest. After all, it would probably serve him better if he were able to surprise him with an attack later on.
However, his efforts proved to have been for naught when the man suddenly stopped just down the path of his destination, taking in a few heavy breaths.
Cyno stopped too, immediately darting out of the way and into the nearest hiding place, which happened to be a bush. There was a long pause as the suspicious man surveyed the area around him before letting out a sigh.
"Trying to hide is useless!" He called out behind him, making Cyno's heart drop. "How long were you planning to follow me like this?"
The General Mahamatra quietly cursed, trying to decide his next move now that his cover had been effectively blown. He wasn't even sure how this man had been able to spot him, but it didn't matter now.
"Just come out and face me so we can get this over with." The man continued with a sigh, turning to look at the bush Cyno was still crouched in, "I know you're there, and I know you've been following me since we were in the city."
Finally, the white haired man stood from his spot inside the bush, his head lowered so the his mask mostly covered his face. Beneath it was a searing glare as he finally looked up.
"Alright, then tell me; what's your goal here? Why are you looking for Y/n?" He growled. The man with the hat just shook his head with a scoff.
"That doesn't concern you." He replied simply, turning away from Cyno now, as if to continue down the path. The general in question tightened his grip around his polearm, pulling it out from behind his back.
There was no way he'd just let this guy walk away; not when he knew you were just ahead in Gandharva Ville. If he'd chosen the route of not providing any answers, then they were going to have to do things the hard way.

You let your face rest in your palm as you looked through what was probably the seventieth file today with no luck. Most of them hadn't even mentioned visions, and the ones that did never said anything about residents of the village having problems with theirs.
Pushing the papers aside, you groaned in frustration seeing the stack that was still too high for your liking sitting across the table.
Collei, who was sitting right next to you, gave you a sympathetic glance as she grabbed another record herself. It had been just you and her for the last hour or so, which you didn't mind. She was great company, and even if you had to help her read certain words every so often, you could see how determined she was to try and assist you.
