"Master Tighnari, I picked up those extra bandages you wanted!" A forest ranger called out, making the man's ears perk up as he turned to see them coming over.

"Ah, thank you. You can take those to the infirmary." He replied before turning back to the papers he was grading for Collei. He'd nearly finished the entire stack, despite it being several weeks worth of work. Anything to keep his mind off of his many worries, he supposed.

But then, who was he kidding? He was still horrendously worried for you, and Cyno too, to an extant. He'd still had yet to receive any confirmation from him that you two had made it safely to the port, and even Nilou had replied to his most recent letter quicker. She was heading that direction already to meet up with you, which helped ease his concerns, but only slightly.

He worried that you might have run into even more trouble on the way, and contemplated whether he should try to go out looking for the two of you.

But if he did so, he would essentially be abandoning Gandharva Ville, even if he left trustworthy rangers. He didn't exactly trust that the forest wouldn't burn down without him presence, even if you weren't there to set it on fire.

He had responsibilities, and ordinarily, he wouldn't even consider ignoring them for someone he'd known for such a short time. But something about you felt different, and it made him think a little differently.

He finished the rest of Collei's papers in record time while just trying not to think about it, but to little avail. Finally, he sighed, pushing himself up from the desk to go and give the now completely graded work to her. She'd done exceptionally well this time, and he was very proud of both the improvement in her handwriting skills and her knowledge.

He carefully made his way over to her room, being sure not to drop anything as he went, before gently knocking on the door.

"Come in!" She called quietly, and he noted how unenthusiastic her voice sounded from the other side. Pushing open the door, he stepped inside to see her sitting at her desk with a solemn expression on her face.

A slip of paper was in her hand, and her eyes seemed so sad as she looked down at him. When she noticed that he was the one who had entered, though, she quickly set it down and stood to help him.

"Oh, Master Tighnari!" She exclaimed as she took some of the stack, putting them on the desk. "You finished grading these already?!"

"Yes," he replied simply, setting down the other half of the stack, "You did very well, and I'm impressed with how much you've improved already."

"Thanks!" She smiled, but a second later, that sad expression returned. He frowned, crossing his arms as he watched her glance back at the slip of paper she'd set down.

"Is something the matter? You don't seem like yourself."

"Oh, it's nothing." Collei replied, but even she could tell her tone didn't sound convincing, "I guess I was just thinking about Y/n...I know they weren't here for very long, but it still feels weird now that they're gone..." It was Tighnari's turn to frown now as she brought the subject up.

"I know what you mean." He admitted with a sigh, letting his gaze move over to her open window as he looked out at the mid day sunrays.

He still had yet to even touch anything in your room, despite it being currently unoccupied. He didn't want to move any of what you'd left behind for fear that you might need to come back soon. Or, maybe it was hope, rather than fear.

"But I'm sure they're doing alright with Cyno." Collei added quickly, seeing how Tighnari's mood had instantly shifted at the mention of you. "I just hope they come back to see us soon..."
