Chapter 1

Chapter 1: Crush

"You can let go now."

I pouted and turned my body to him to hug him more. Nasa baba na ang kamay niyang pumulupot sa katawan ko kaniya. Sobrang bango niya at matangkad kaya hanggang dibdib lang ako. Kumunot ang noo niya sa aking ginawa.

"That guy is now gone." malamig niyang banggit. "Let go your arms."

Umiling ako. "No."

He sighed deeply. Ngumiti ako at mas lalong yumakap sa kanya. Malaki ang katawan niya at nararamdaman ko na parang secured ako ss kanya.

"I can't believe they let a minor in." pabulong niya na klarong klaro sa aking pandinig.

Sinamaan ko siya ng tingin. "I am not a minor, Maddox. I am already eighteen."

Unti unting kumunot ang kanyang noo ngunit hindi nagsalita. Palihim akong ngumisi. Did he think I am a minor? Well, I get that I took too baby faced for my age but duh, I am legal for him already.

"I am Skyrah Francisco." nakangiti kong sabi. "You are Maddox...?"

He moved his clenched jaw and leaned to my right ear. I smiled widely. Oh, I love smiling right now.

"Ilang taon ka na?" I asked.

"Don't make me remove your arms 'coz the last time I removed someone's arms around me, he was sent to the hospital." baritono niyang sinabi.

Naninindig ang aking balahibo sa lamig at baba ng boses niya. Pero hindi ako natitinag. Kahit nakakapanghina ang tingin niya, nakikipag titigan ako.

"I will let go if you tell me your last name." hamon ko.

He chuckled without humor. "I saved you from that guy, little girl. Don't tell me you have a crush on me already?"

"Well, you are not wrong."

"Remove your hands at once."

"You have a girlfriend?" agap ko.

He eyed me darkly. "That's none of your business."

"It is now!" giit ko. "If you could just tell me your full name, I'll be off."

Bahagyang tinagilid niya ang kanyang ulo. Suddenly, I felt all the confidence in me starting to wear off. Napalunok ako sa biglang hiya dahil sa nanunuot niyang panitig. Ito ang unang beses na biglang nahiya ako sa sarili ko.

"You are not my type. I don't like spoiled brats who likes to party so get your hands off me."

Masakit ang salita niya ngunit hindi ako nag patinag. I have been called a spoiled brat by many but none of them hit me hard like what this man did.

"Your full name first." I said without a wavering tone.

He smirked like he thinks so low of me. Without hesitation, he removed my arms around his waist. It made my lips fall agap when he smoothly did that. My strength seems no use for him.

"Maddox?"

I heard someone behind him. Titingnan ko sana kung sino ang babaeng tumawag sa kanya ngunit hinarangan niya ako. Mukhang ayaw niya itong makita ko o vice versa.

"Go back to your friends." he coldly spat.

"Wait—"

"I have no time to babysit."

Nararamdaman ko ang dumadaan na sakit sa aking dibdib. When he turned his whole back on me. I felt all the coldness in the room. This man is not easy to deal with.
