"Are you sure you won't go back to your friends?"

I bit my lower lip before nodding.

Currently, we are near the entrance where lights are not that painful to the eyes and the sounds are not that loud. I like it here more than being there in the midst of the dance floor or those couches in the side.

"They might be looking for you," marahan niyang puna.

Oo nga naman. Alam ko 'yon pero ayaw kong umalis kasi gusto ko pa siyang makausap. I'm scared that our conversation will just end here.

Maddox sighed a bit. "You can text your friend so they won't worry."

"What should I say?" agap ko.

Tumingin siya sa akin ng mabuti bago tumugon.

"Inform them you are safe with... with a friend,"

Sumilay ang kibot ng ngiti sa aking labi. "Can I tell them I'm with you?"

Nakita ko na bahagyang umawang ang labi niya. Hindi nakasagot agad. Okay, I get it. Ngumiti ako ng tipid sa kanya at tumango nalang.

"I'll... I'll text them," mahina kong sinabi, hindi pinahalata na dismayado.

Then I realized my purse was not on my shoulder. I checked my pocket and I have no phone with me. Bumagsak ang aking dibdib. Stupid, Skyrah. Napatingin ako kay Maddox. Kumunot ang kanyang noo habang nakatingin sa akin.

"My phone is not with me," nahihiya kong banggit.

Tumango siya ng tipid. What should I do now? I don't want to leave him. I want to talk to him more.

"Uh..." I trailed off, I bit my lower lip.

"Puntahan mo nalang ang mga kaibigan mo. Tell them you are with me..." aniya at napalabi ng konti, making his red thin lips more reddish. "And come back here if you want to,"

Tumingkayad ang aking tainga. "You will wait here?"

"Yes,"

I gasped. Hindi ko mapigilan sa sobrang tuwa. Naghuhurnamento ulit ang aking puso.

"Hindi ka babalik sa mga kasama mo?"

Umiling siya. "I came here alone, Sky."

Oh my God. I am so happy. I chuckled cheekily because I liked it so much when he called me. It is like I have been a rogue for a long time and just got a name to identify myself.

"I'll be right back," nakangiti kong sabi.

He gave me a nod. I don't want to leave but fine, I'll be fast nalang. Maddox will wait. Shit! He said I could come back if I want to so it means he will stay there and wait.

I found my way in the crowd until I reached our table. Harmony and Brielle are already there. Trina too, with the guy we saw earlier.

Napatingin sa akin ang dalawa habang lumalapit ako. My cheeks heated because of their judgemental looks. But then they laughed at me.

"Akala ko ba kukuha ka lang ng inumin?" natatawang puna ni Harmony.

Ngumisi si Brielle at inabutan ako ng isang margarita. "Kami nalang nag order, Sky. Mukhang hindi naman ang drinks pinuntahan mo, e."

"Sky!" si Trina na ngayon lang ako napansin. "Saan ka nagpunta? By the way, this is Marc."

I smiled at the guy beside him na naglahad ng kamay. I shook it a bit then let go. Umiling ako kay Brielle ng binalik niya sa akin ang margarita.
