Riding the Skies

"I killed someone."

I fisted on my side. "Elijah,"

"I killed someone."

Eren hugged his younger brother, Elijah, who was trembling in fear. I heaved a deep breath and stood up. My two brothers, Ruhan and Zeke, got alarmed and immediately gripped on my shirt.

"Kuya, I'm scared..." si Ruhan.

"Don't leave us. P—Please. Stay please, Kuya..."

I inhaled a deep breath and sat back again. Zeke is still trembling from fear while Rocco is keeping silent, tulala sa lahat ng nangyari. Our youngest, Zeke, hugged my arm and hid himself there.

Our parents are still discussing things inside our library. Despite our house being surrounded with agents now, it still feels unsafe. Our walls have been breached and it makes a big impact for everyone.

We waited. We waited until they were finished. Tito Eros carried Elijah while my father and mother consoled Zeke. I just stood there watching my family shaken.

The man is bloody. Mama and Papa immediately covered my brothers' eyes. Even Tito Hermes covered Rocco and Tito Eros blocked Eren and Elijah. I looked straight at Elijah because his eyes went wide like he had seen a ghost. Tears are still coming out from his puffy eyes.

"Son," tawag ni Mama sa akin.

"I'm fine." tipid kong sambit at tumingin sa lalaking kaharap ni Lolo Ben.

"Dox, get back here."

I walked to Lolo Ben's side. Lolo A Figueroa is also here too with Tito Leonardo. The agents are in a protection stance. The man was tied to the chair and he was beaten to pulp. A heavy interrogation happened before we went down here as it seems.

"Saan ang base ninyo?!" si Lolo Ben.

Tumawa lamang ang lalaki habang nagdurugo ang buong mukha. He sighed heavily and groaned in pain when Lolo A pressed the gun wound on his thigh with a short rod.

"That's all I said, General." tawa nito. "Nasabi ko na lahat. Spare me now. I spared your grandchildren and daughter-in-law."

I held Lolo Ben's gun. Nagulat sila sa ginawa ko at tumahimik. It is a heavy gun. I pointed it to the man on the chair. His eyes went wide and he tried to wiggle his way out.

"Put the gun down, Maddox." si Papa.

The man laughed nervously. "Listen to your father, big boy."

"Hijo, give it to me."

"Get the gun away from my son, Papa."

"Dox, give it to me,"

I pulled the trigger. A loud noise exploded and some shouting voices got caught in surprise. My arm moved back after the hit. There was silence after a loud noise and screaming. I saw the smoke at the tip of the gun.
