Chapter 2 - Zahra's House

I walked home and entered the  house only to find everything scattered

The house was empty , I sighed I was honestly tired of this

I walked up to my room to find my younger brother Kareem there

"Get Out of My Room" I said in a cold tone

"No I won't " He replied and stuck his tongue out at me

"GO OUT" I yelled , Can't I just have  peace ,Why must everyone be so annoying

"You can't make me"

I threw my bag to the floor and rolled up my sleeves

"Don't test me kareem, I'm already pissed as it" I warned him

"You can't do nothing to me"

Okay enough was enough, I marched towards him and grabbed him by his shirt

"Let me Go!!Let me Go!!" He said kicking his legs in the air

"I thought I can't do nothing to you" I said sarcastically

"I'll tell Mom and you know she always takes my side ,She'll beat you up" He screamed

I rolled my eyes and threw him out of the room

"Do your worst" I said and slammed the door shut

Finally some peace and quiet

I did my assignments and went to pray all the prayers I missed while I was at school

Ugh!! Don't get me wrong , I don't HATE praying, Doesn't mean I'm obsessed with it

I picked up My English Translation of the Quran and read a few pages ,Yeah guys I can't read Arabic ,Deal with it.

After that I brought out my phone and started reading my Muslim romance Novels

Honestly finding a Good Muslim Romance Book that's interesting and doesn't contain Haram stuff is Hard!!!.

But I found it.

After reading a few chapters , I went to tiktok and watched  a few videos ,Overall It was a pretty normal evening

Then it was 8:00pm

I rushed out the room when I realised I had forgotten to feed Kareem , Hopefully Mom comes home late as usual today

I found him crying on the floor

"For Goodness Sake ,Stop Crying You're 9 years old!!" I said

"You're the Worst Sister Ever , I hate you" He yelled at me while crying

"Glad to know the feelings are mutual, Now Speak up what do you want to eat" I said 

He sniffled

"I want Macaroni and Cheese"

"Okay"

I went to the kitchen and made him his food

And boy he ate....

Kareem : *burps*

"Ah I'm full now" He says rubbing his hand on his belly

I rolled my eyes and continued eating

He turns on the TV and takes it to Nickelodeon

And I actually enjoyed watching Henry Danger , Its nice to see My Brother and I aren't the only siblings with a messed up relationship

And I went to bed

The next morning , I woke up 6:00am , I woke Kareem up so he could freshen up

And it sort of went like this.....

"Brat wake up!!" I yelled and hit his face with a pillow

"Ugh Go Away Oldie" He groaned

"You're gonna be late for school"

"Who cares"

"I care now Get your ass up"

"Leave me alone"

"Okay then I guess I have to cancel the trip I planned for you and Ayesha"

His eyes shut open and he stood up

"A trip for me and Ayesha"

I smirked "Yes Now if you want it go freshen up"

He ran to the Bathroom and I went to the kitchen to make breakfast

I packed Kareem's Lunchbox then set the table

I went to wake Mom up and saw her crying

"Mom what's up"

"He broke up with me" She wailed

That was her 10th boyfriend this month

"Its Okay Mom don't Cry , Come down for breakfast , I made Avocado Toast" I said and left

Sometimes I think she would be happier if she stops focusing on men and directs her attention towards her children instead.....

I got ready for school and left the house , I arrived at school

"How was detention yesterday" Leila asked

"Horrible and Horrible" I said

"But I heard you spent it alone with Mateo ,It must have been nice in some kind of way" She said wiggling her brows suggestively

I shivered in disgust , Of all boys , Why would I choose Mateo

"Can we just go to class and stop talking about Yesterday" I said and walked ahead of her

"Okay but you know we're best friends ,No need to hide anything from me"

"Please don't"

On Mateo's Side

"So how was detention yesterday bro" Travis asked

Mateo smirked

"Let's just say it was.....interesting"
