The Next Morning

Zahra locked herself in the room all day ,She wasn't ready to go to school and her Mom couldn't care less

Mateo's POV

She wasn't in school

All because of me

I sat at Lunch

I wasn't able to concentrate in Class and now I could barely it

I heard Liam Snicker

"What is it Liam" I asked in a Cold tone ,I know I had no right to blame Liam for what happened, It was my fault for even attempting to do it

"The Hijabi didn't come to school today" He said with a smirk on his face

I gripped my fork tightly and Travis and Nathan Kept Quiet

I took a Deep Breath

"She has a name ,Liam , Her name is Zahra " I said

"Yea whatever ,Who cares ,I honestly despise people like her , Pretending to be holy ,Covering her body ,Not allowing men to touch her"

"Its not Called Pretending to Be holy Liam ,Its Called Having Decency, You would know that if you had Decency"

"Mateo what the hell's wrong with you ,Did you forget what you did to her, Why are you trying to support her huh"

"Don't you dare bring that Shit up Liam, I feel bad enough already , Don't you realise how wrong that was"

Liam rolled his eyes "Oh Please" He scoffed

"Look Liam ,If you don't want my fist through your face then Shut up" I said barely managing to control my anger

"Just Try to Punch me Mateo" He dared

"Liam Dont do anything stupid" Nathan warned

"Yeah Remeber what happened last time" Travis added

"Yea Liam Remember Last time" I mocked and I saw him flinch a little at the thought of that Bloody Memory

I stood up and looked him in the eyes "Watch your mouth Liam , I won't control myself next time" I said and walked away ,It was no use staying in this Cafeteria ,It's not like I was gonna eat anything....

I was walking out of the school when I was Stopped by a girl , I recognised her ,She was the one who had helped Zahra

"Can I help you?" I asked and felt my face turn sideways due to her hard slap

"That's for what you did to Zahra ,Jerk" She said and left

Zahra's POV

I was scrolling through tiktoks alone in my room

Kareem was at Ayesha's birthday party

I had realised that I shouldn't waste my tears for a jerk like him but I still don't think I'm ready to see his face....

Not that I'm scared of him, I'm just scared that if I see him I might kill him out of anger

I received a call from Leila

"Hello" I said

"Hey girl ,You didn't come to school today is everything okay?"

"Everything's fine ,I'm just not ready to see Mateo"

"Tch ,That Jerk , If it makes you feel any better ,I slapped him today"

I chuckled

"Thank you ....I would ask you to send me notes but we don't have a lot of classes together and you barely copy your notes"

"Yeah Yeah Whatever , No need to rub it in"

I laughed softly then I heard a voice yelling in the background

"Oh shoot ,Call you later girl, Mom's Calling ,Bye" She said

"Bye"

And the Call ended

I suddenly received another call and my eyebrow went up at the name flashing on the screen
