Chapter 4

I woke up to my mom yelling for me to get up and get ready for school. I rolled out of bed and did my morning routine deciding on a pair of high waisted shorts and my Fall out Boy sweatshirt because it was a little chilly out and a pair of sandals. I curled my hair and did my usual makeup routine.
I went downstairs to eat breakfast while my brother scarfed down his food like he had never seen food before.
"Wow Amy you are actually on time today!" my mother sarcastically praises.
"Thanks mom" I reply with a fake smile.
My mom just huffs and leaves the kitchen muttering "teenagers". I just roll my eyes and finish eating and leave for school. Vanessa and her older sister pick me up and we head to school.
Once we are there me and Vanessa find Veronica at the entrance of the school again.
"Hey" Veronica greets us.
"Hey" me and Vanessa both greet back.
"So have you thought about what I said?" Veronica asks me, all signs of humor gone from her face.
"Yes I have and I want you to know that I want nothing to do with him I was just curious as to why he was so meant to me!" I answer back truthfully.
"Good, I was just looking out for you we all know what happened to my older sister!" Veronica said with sadness in her eyes. We all nod our heads in agreement.
We remember about two years ago when Veronica's sister was a junior in high school and how she met a boy like Harry that completely ruined her life. Long story short the boy was drunk driving with her older sister in the car and they crashed. Veronica's sister was killed on impact but the boy was not. He survived and was sent to jail.
It still shocks and upsets Veronica's family how he just came into her life and ruined her and killed her in a matter of months.
The mood grew tense and sad at the memory so I just hugged Veronica thanking her for looking out for me.
"So enough about this sad stuff lets get started with our second day of High School!" Vanessa says a little too enthusiastically.
"I still don't like school" I remind her.
"I know but you could just humor me for once" she says.
"Nope" I say with a smirk.
"Fine" she sighs and rolls her eyes. "Lets go"
We all nod and head inside.
The school day went along normally and then it came time for lunch. Eyeing the cafeteria carefully I head in and sit at the table me and the girls sat at yesterday.
"We should make this our usual spot" Veronica giggles.
"We should" I add.
"So now for the important question" Vanessa says in a serious tone.
"Have any of you met any cute guys?" She asks wiggling her eye brows. we all burst into laughter.
"Yea, actually I have, his name is Luke Hemmings and he is really hot. He has blonde hair and blue eyes. Oh and he has a black lip ring!" Veronica gushes.
"Oh yea I have seen him around he is really hot!" I add.
We all laugh like school girls until Veronica stops laughing. We ask her why she stopped and she pointed to something right behind me.
"Really Luke Hemmings, wow you guys are so desperate." Someone says but I recognize that British accent.
I turn around and look into those same green eyes that have been consuming my every thought since the first time I have looked into them.
"What are doing here?" I blurt out without thinking.
He looks angry as his eyes dialate.
"I was walking to my lunch table when I overheard you talking about that Luke guy. You've got a problem?" He growls.
Gaining enough courage I say, "Actually I do, why do you have to be so mean I have done nothing to you and all you have been a dick to me!"
He seems taken aback by my outburst but quickly recomposes himself.
"Listen here you have no right to tell me how I act, you are a little freshman nothing I can make your life a living hell I can promise you that!" he spits in my face.
"You can't tell me what to do!" I spit right back.
He scares and shocks me by smirking and saying, "You will regret that" before stalking out of the cafeteria not bothering about lunch anymore.
