A/N ~~ It's Harley's Birthday! Bit of a cute one today - enjoy <3

~~Monday Morning, London~~

Lizzie POV

I can't believe it's Harley's Birthday already. This year has been the longest, yet it seems to have gone by so quickly now Harley is well into her recovery. It's been a week since she came home with her Prosthetic leg, and I'm still in shock at how well she is doing. None of us expected her to be onto this stage any time soon after all the conversations we had with Dr Bailey and all the staff back at the hospital. But as per usual, Harley is smashing it and doing amazing as she always does. She is such an incredible person, and always surprises everyone around her. Seeing her doing so well just shows how strong she is, and always has been. I don't think I have ever been prouder of anyone the way I am of Harley. I'll never be able to put into words how proud I am of her. This past week has been more emotional than I thought it would ever be. Seeing her on two feet again in this new way is something I never thought would make me so emotional, but I must have cried for the first couple of days of seeing her walking around. I know Harley wants to get rid of the crutches as soon as she can, but we all need to keep reminding her that she needs to take her time in getting used to her Prosthetic. Even though we all love to see how happy she is when she is walking independently, we know anything can set her back in the recovery, so we need to try and stay grounded for her sake. I can't bear the idea of seeing Harley hurt again. I still struggle from time to time with remembering that I nearly lost her, seeing her so fragile and vulnerable in that hospital. I don't think I will ever get over seeing her that way, but it is getting less frequent since I am now focused on helping her move forward.

My eyes slowly flutter open as the small ray of light peeks through the window in Harley's bedroom. Instantly my body gravitates towards the body heat radiating from where Harley is lying beside me. She is still sound asleep, her deep breathing is all I can hear in the quiet room. One of my hands slip under her t-shirt, finding it's place flat against her stomach as my other hand is under my head as I turn my head to face the sleeping Soldier by my side. I just take in how peaceful she looks, admiring her side profile. Taking in the new marks against her skin that are now looking like they are going to be a permanent part of her body. Dr Bailey was always honest with Harley, telling her the scars could be permanent, but also, they could fade over time. And as much as Harley is no stranger to scars from her career, I know she is a lot more conscious with the new additions being on her face. Hopefully with more time, she may become less conscious about them, especially with how faded they already are against her skin. The only time they will become more prominent will be if she tans at all. She still hates getting any kind of look when it comes to this incident, whether it be her leg or her scarred skin. Whether it be a judgmental or sympathetic look, she hates it either way. I just hope in time she can ignore the looks, like she has been able to do in the past. Because to me, she is still the incredibly good-looking Soldier I fell in love with all those months ago. The only person I want to spend the rest of my life with.

I let my eyes admire her for what feels like hours. Letting my mind drift to what our future is going to look like. Together. Knowing that this bubble we are in is not going to last forever. I know I have work coming up very soon, which means I will have to leave London and Harley for a while. The hospital isn't going to let her fly too soon, something that Dr Bailey also kept reminding us of. I already hate the idea of leaving Harley here in London when she is still in recovery. As much as I know she is more than capable of looking after herself now with little risk to hurting herself, I still want to be here like I have been since the start to help her however I can. I knew signing contracts so far in the future would mean I would be obligated no matter what, but at the time, and even now they are projects I want to be a part of. Even if that means being away from Harley again. I can feel myself bubbling with emotions, getting upset at the thought of leaving Harley, so much so that tears start to fall freely down my cheeks. I bury my head in Harley's neck, hoping to gain comfort and hide until I can compose myself. But before I get the chance to try and calm myself down, I feel Harley start to stir. Instantly her arms wrap around my body, pulling me impossibly closer as I melt in her touch. I try and stifle the soft sobs wanting to leave my mouth, but when I fail to hide them, Harley starts to rub her hands up and down my back as she wakes herself up, trying to move her head to she can see me. "Baby?" She asks sluggishly, still slightly sleepy but awake enough to know what is happening now. I just shake my head softly, hoping she doesn't ask again. Thankfully instead, she just holds me tighter, giving me the comfort I need in this moment.

"Hey, it's alright, I'm here." Harley's soothing voice finally brings me back to a more composed state. So, I gently lift my head, wiping the remaining tears from my face as Harley keeps me close. Once I open my eyes properly again, I catch sight of the tear stains on her t-shirt, not realizing just how upset I was until now. "I'm sorry-" I try and apologize, but Harley just shakes her head gently, sitting herself up but managing to keep me in her arms as she sits back against the headboard of her bed. I lay my head on her shoulder again, facing her slightly as she pulls me onto her lap. Now that I am more composed, I feel Harley rub her own eyes from just waking up not too long ago before she leaves a gentle, comforting kiss against my temple before she says anything more. "Do you want to talk about it?" Harley asks carefully, making me smile softly at her caring tone. Even after all this time, she is still so patient and caring with me, something that drew me to her all that time ago. I gently nod my head in reply, wiping my eyes one last time before carefully sitting back slightly so I can look up into her awaiting eyes. I can see the worry behind them, but she is still patient and waits for me to say anything without any pressure. I take a calming breath before finding her hand and holding it between my own for comfort. "It's silly, really, I just- I was letting my head get ahead of me and before I know it, I'm worrying about everything." I ramble a little, knowing it is all in my head. But as soon as I start to get upset again, Harley's arms are wrapped around my body again, comforting me as I try and calm my emotions. "It's not silly if it's upsetting you, baby. Take your time, let me help you work through it?" How did I get so lucky to find someone like Harley?

"I'm worried about leaving you, Harley." I finally manage to admit, feeling Harley tense up slightly at my words. But she quickly shakes it off and smiles softly in my direction, her hand soothingly running up and down my back as her other hand is in between my own. "Are you planning on running away from me?" She teases gently, playfully trying to get me to smile. And as always, it works. I can't help but giggle at her teasing as I shake my head in reply. "I'm not running anywhere, Soldier." I reply through my light laughter, making her grin widen as she looks between my eyes. "So why are you worried about leaving me?" She asks softly, making my smile fade slightly. "I have projects coming up soon." I add, and instantly she nods gently in reply with a comforting smile across her lips. "You do. And that is more than okay. We knew this was coming, and its work. Something you love to do, and something I completely support you in. So, if you need to travel anywhere, we will work it out. Together." I can't help but smile at her words, how easily she can comfort me with just her voice. With her way with words and how calm she is about any situation. She has always been so logical and mature with anything that comes to us, something I have lacked in other relationships. But with Harley, she always finds a way to understand. "I love you, Harley." Is all I can say before burying my body back into her arms. She just holds me as I let my body calm down completely before I look up and bring her lips into my own. Sharing a kiss before I meet her bright morning eyes. "Thank you, I know we always work things out. But I just, this is different. But I also know your doing so much better now." I begin to ramble but before I can spiral again, Harley's lips are capturing mine again. Stopping my thoughts instantly as I just get lost in her touch.

After we both got a little too carried away in each other, I suddenly jump back from her lips, realizing I have not wished her a happy birthday yet. Instantly feeling guilty for getting so upset instead of celebrating her day. Her eyes spring open as I jump back slightly, but I just shake my head gently as I place my hands flat against her chest. "Happy Birthday, baby." I say softly, letting a huge grin form across my lips. Instantly her lips pull into a smile as she laughs softly. "Thank you, beautiful." She chuckles, making me giggle as I lean in for another kiss. "That should have been my first words this morning." I whisper against her lips before kissing her repeatedly. Making her laughter grow before I finally pull back to see her eyes already on me. "that's more than alright, I'm just glad you're feeling better now." She comforts before we have to get up and start getting ready for Harley's Physical Therapy Appointment. After finishing up in the bathroom, letting my hair down from the clip it was in, I made my way back into the bedroom just in time to catch Harley topless sitting on her bed. I lose the ability to breathe as I catch sight of her toned upper body. With her body heavily relying on her arms to either hold her up or take the weight off by using her crutches, her upper body is in incredible shape. From her shoulders, back, abs, everything is in the best shape it can possibly be in. She has 8 perfectly formed abs on her stomach, her arms are more defined than Evans' were in Civil War. She looks like she should be an Olympic athlete, and my eyes can't do anything but admire her physique. "You're drooling there, Elizabeth." Her raspy voice brings me back out of my trance, my eyes snapping to meet hers that are watching me from where she is sitting on the bed. A smirk sitting across her lips as she catches my slightly flustered state. I can feel my cheeks turning red, but I can't help it when it comes to My Soldier. I clear my throat before busying myself in front of the full-length mirror, brushing my hair out as I can feel her eyes on me across the room. I don't look in her direction for a few minutes, only hearing her shuffling around as she gets ready. It isn't until I hear something clipping into place that I slowly turn around and see that she is putting her Prosthetic on. I leave my hair free flowing, wanting to help her if I can. So, I kneel beside where she is sitting on the edge of her bed. Letting her know I am there if she needs anything from me.

"Is it still feeling comfortable?" I ask once I help her attach her everyday Prosthetic onto her harness. It's a lot for her to wear, but until she gets used to it, she is stuck using this for now. Once she is stronger on her leg, they will change it to a much simpler Prosthetic that pretty much slips onto her leg. But for now, she has this more stable one. "It is. But I can't wait to start using the other one." She adds, making me smile up at her as she looks a little defeated again. I know she just wants to be done with all of this and be able to live her life without hospital appointments and checkups with Dr Bailey. But right now, I feel more comfortable knowing she is being looked after by more than just her family. "It won't be long, Soldier." I comfort her, taking her face in my hands to get her to look at me. She easily obliges, her eyes falling softer as she meets my gaze. "You just need to be Patient, Harley. But you will get there. I know you will." I comfort her as best I can, feeling her relax slightly before she brings me up to stand between her legs. Her hands falling to my legs as I keep her face in my hands, now looking down at her as she looks slightly up at me. "How did I get so lucky?" She whispers, just so I can hear her. Making me giggle nervously at her raspy voice. "I don't know, Soldier. You tell me." I tease, leaning down as I brush my nose against hers. "I don't think I will ever know, all I do know is that I'm never letting you go." She husks in reply, making my heart flutter in my chest at her words. My cheeks blush again as I giggle and kiss the end of her nose softly. "Never let me go, Harley." I whisper against her lips before she brings me closer into her, kissing me gently with every emotion possible. Both our bodies falling back into the bed together, causing us to break apart with laughter now filling the room.

"Ready?" I ask now we are both in the car. I ended up renting a car out in London, so I don't need to rely on borrowing Stuart's or asking Tom to drive us anywhere. It's nothing special, enough to get us around when we need to. "Yeah, let's go." Harley replies, getting comfortable in her seat as I start the journey to the hospital. It doesn't take us long to get there, being no traffic during the day. Once we park up, I move to get Harley's crutches before helping her from the car. Once she is up, we make our way inside and towards the Physical Therapy ward of the hospital. Somewhere we are very used to going to by now. We make it to the reception desk, the staff recognizing Harley straight away before we are met by Niall not even 30 seconds later. He ushers us both into the gym room and walks us over to the bars where Harley first learned to get back on her feet. "It's good to see you both again, and it's amazing to see you with your Prosthetic Harley. You're making some incredible progress." Niall gushes as I take a seat and Harley stands ready for her next instructions. "Thanks, Niall." Harley says before I quickly greet Niall myself and then he soon moves onto the session. "Okay Harley, let's get you moving on those legs, shall we?" Niall suggests, before moving towards the bars with Harley. He takes Harley's crutches and places them to the side before helping Harley move between the bars so she can use them as support as she walks. Niall has been a great help, and has really been a motivator for Harley, someone who has not let her push herself too far but has allowed her to listen to her body rather than a sheet of paper. "You're doing great, Harley. Remember to balance out the weight, try not to lean over to one side. Perfect." She makes me so proud to be by her side every single day.

"That was a great session today, Harley. I'm really happy with your progress and hopefully we can reduce these sessions soon to give you more freedom. But for now, keep working on your walking but also make sure to rest and use those crutches when you're doing longer walks." Niall helps Harley back to her crutches, seeing how she can be a little exhausted from these sessions. Once she is up again, I quickly jump up and move to her side, wanting to be near her again. "And before I forget, Happy Birthday." Niall suddenly says, making us both smile as Harley thanks him before we both say goodbye and make our way through the hospital and towards the car park. When Harley is comfortable, I place her crutches in the back before getting in myself and starting our journey home. "How about we stop for coffee before heading back?" I suggest making Harley smile and sigh in relief, making me laugh as she agrees. We stop by a nearby Starbucks and get us both a coffee, making sure to get one for Maisie and Stuart since Maisie is off School this week and will kill us if we don't. We then make our way back home, making good time and before we know it I am parking outside Stuart's house. Instantly I start beaming seeing the new additions to the outside of the house, Harley not noticing yet as she is on her phone, no doubt answering some birthday messages. "We're back, baby." I announce, wanting to see her reaction. As soon as she looks up and out of the window, she lets out a small chuckle seeing the balloons and banners up at the windows and door. I'm going to kill her." She teases, obviously talking about her little Sister as she tries to stifle her laughter. I can't help but giggle seeing her slightly tinted cheeks as she looks to where I am still sitting. A look of realization across her face when she sees my reaction. "You were in on it too, weren't you?" She asks, leaning over as I try not to laugh anymore. "Who me? Never." I tease, leaning forward to kiss her cheek before escaping her intense gaze as I move to get her crutches from the back of the car.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"

As soon as we walk through the door, Maisie and Stuart are waiting for us with huge smiles as they wish Harley a happy birthday. There are balloons and banners set up throughout the kitchen and living room, making me laugh harder as I see Harley's face growing redder. After everything that Harley has been through this year, we all wanted to go all out for her Birthday. Realizing that she could not have been here to celebrate was a huge reason why. Harley is soon engulfed in Maisie's arms before her Dad does the same. Once we all greeted each other, Maisie pretty much drags Harley towards the table to open her presents as I hand out the coffees. We all sit down at the table, Maisie not giving Harley a chance before she has presents in front of her to open. The first one she opens is from Maisie, and it's a small bundle of things. "Since I know you'll be back at the gym soon, I thought you'd need some upgrades." Maisie explains as Harley opens some wireless headphones, a new phone holder, water bottle, gym trainers and some clothes. Harley is completely blown away by her bundle and calls Maisie over to say a proper thank you. It's so sweet seeing them in times like this and I quickly use the opportunity to get a picture of them together before Maisie lets Harley open her presents from Stuart and Emily. She is a little taken back seeing her gifts, one being a new Military watch since hers was broken in the incident. I know they are pretty pricey, so it means a lot to Harley to get one from her Dad. They also got her some aftershave and other things that she is really happy with. After she says thank you to her Dad, I move to give her my presents. I'm a little nervous, since one of her presents isn't here. It's not something I can give her. She opens her first present, and it's some new clothes. Then the next present is something I wanted to get her for a while. It's not something she ever mentioned, but I was really struggling on what to get her, and when I noticed her laptop is looking a little banged up I decided on getting her a new one that can keep up with her for whatever she decides to do in the future. Instantly her eyes go wide when she sees that I have bought her one, all she needs to do is go and pick out which colour she wants. I'm instantly pulled into a huge cuddle as she thanks me quietly.

I then give her some presents that my Mom, MK and Ashley sent over for her. My Mom bought her a Spa Day for 2 at a really nice Hotel in Central London. Putting in her card that she deserves a day to relax and instantly she smiles and looks in my direction with a beaming look across her face. My Sisters both bought her clothes, obviously, which she is very appreciative for. I then give her my last present, which I am most excited for. Stuart and Maisie, both give me subtle smiles for comfort as I hand Harley the box. "Lizzie, come on, you've already got me too much." Harley begins to argue but I just shake my head in reply as I smile nervously. "This is the last one." I add, making her shake her head and chuckle as she begins to open it. When it reveals a shoe box, she quickly looks up and can't contain her smile. There is an envelope on top of the tissue before revealing the trainers, she opens it unsurely, revealing a card with Spider-Man on the front, making us all laugh as she opens it slowly. "Read it aloud." Maisie adds, making me giggle as Harley sighs teasingly. "To My Soldier. Happy Birthday to my one and only. I hope you have the best day with everyone, but from 5.30pm, I'm stealing you for myself. All my love, Lizzie." Harley reads aloud, her lips pulling into a smile as she looks over in my direction. "And the rest." I add, making her laugh as she looks back at the card. "P.S. Wear these tonight so you fit in." She reads and Maisie giggles as Harley looks up a little confused before I gesture for her to take a look. She takes them out, showing off her new custom-made trainers. They are mainly black with some subtle hints of red and blue. I can't help but catch her beaming smile as she studies the trainers, but to my surprise, she misses the details I thought she would notice instantly. Instead, she turns to kiss my cheek and thank me for them. Okay, that makes tonight even more of a surprise.

For the rest of the day, we spend it all in the house just relaxing in front of the TV watching anything Maisie picks out as we get visits from Tom and Emily. Emily ends up staying with us, but Tom has to leave for a meeting later so only stays for a couple of hours. None the less, Harley is more than grateful that he came over to see her. Obviously, he got her the new Newcastle United Football Kit like every year, as well as some other things to go with it. She is so happy with it, and I make sure to get some pictures throughout the day for Harley to look back on. Stuart ended up going out to get us some lunch before we all sat around eating together. After lunch, Harley rang my mom to thank her for her presents before ringing the Twins to do the same. I always love seeing their interactions, and Mom had to have some Maisie time too. It's so nice to have someone whose family loves my own so much. We then spend the rest of the day relaxing before I excuse myself to start getting ready for our evening. I have a quick shower before doing my hair and make-up and then pick out some clothes for both of us. I lay Harley's out on the bed before getting into the dress I picked out for myself. Wanting to dress up for tonight being a special occasion. Once I am dressed, I send a message to Harley letting her know she needs to come and get ready. It doesn't take long for her to arrive, knocking on the door to make sure I am decent. It makes me laugh, but I soon call her inside as I am sitting doing some last touch ups to my make up. As soon as she walks inside, she freezes for a few seconds before coming over to where I am standing in front of the mirror in the bathroom. "Wow." She breathes out before kissing my bare shoulder. "You are breathtaking." How can she make me so nervous even after this long?

Harley is ridiculously quick in showering and getting ready, easily opting for the clothes I picked out for her. She looks incredible in the new jeans I bought her and a casual white shirt to go with them. Once her hair is done, and she has her jewelry and aftershave on we make our way downstairs together. As soon as we get to the kitchen, Stuart and Maisie are waiting for us, showering us with compliments before Maisie demands some pictures. I help Harley into her new trainers before we stand together for some pictures. It feels amazing having Harley back by my side, standing so independently as Maisie takes a few pictures for us. Both of them getting a little emotional as I try and hold back the tears. They don't mention anything, knowing Harley knows why the room is a little emotional as she keeps everyone laughing instead. "Right, you two, off you go before your late." Stuart starts to usher us outside, grabbing Harley's crutches for her before he hands me his car keys. Thankfully, letting me use his car since it is a little more comfortable for Harley to travel in. We say our goodbyes before I help Harley into the car, her smile growing seeing that we are taking her Dad's car. Once we are ready to go, we wave back to Maisie and Stuart at the door before I start the drive to the first destination. "So, do I get to know where we are going tonight?" Harley questions, but I just shake my head with my eyes focused on the road ahead of us. "Not even a clue?" She pushes, and I can't help but giggle to myself. "You've had your clue." I tease, making her eyebrows furrow in confusion as she sits her head back and lets her mind think back to see if she can work it out. She seems to get lost in her thoughts as I drive us to our first stop of the night in comfortable silence. I just hope she likes what I have planned...

~~Monday Evening, London~~

Normal POV

"That food was amazing." I can't help gushing about the food we have just eaten. It was a little Tapas place not too far from Dad's house. I don't know how I have never been before now, but the food was really good. "It really was, I'm glad I found that place. We should take your Dad and Maisie one day." Lizzie adds, making me smile as I nod my head in reply. "Dad will love it." I add, making Lizzie beam as she concentrates on driving. I still have no idea where we are headed, and Lizzie is giving nothing away. Apparently, we have one last stop tonight, and as we get further towards the center of the City the more nervous I start to get. I'm not hugely confident in my walking yet, so the thought of being in a busy place is giving me a little bit of anxiety. I know Lizzie would never pressure me or go somewhere I wouldn't be comfortable, but I also know she is excited to celebrate my birthday today too. So, I have literally no idea what she has planned, and the longer we drive for, the more my nerves creep up. "You okay over there, Soldier?" Lizzie's angelic voice suddenly brings me from my racing thoughts as my eyes are staring blindly out the window. I look out in front of us, seeing the red light out the corner of my eye before I turn and see Lizzie's slightly worried gaze focused on me. I smile softly, seeing her eyes not moving an inch as she waits for me to say something, anything. It takes a second for my brain to catch up before I clear my throat and reach out my hand for her thigh. Giving her leg a small squeeze as I talk. "Just lost in my head a little, nothing to worry about." I answer as best I can, but I catch her furrowed eyebrows above her unwavering gaze, obviously sensing my lack of conviction as she sits and waits for a more accurate response.

I sigh and pish my head back in my seat, feeling her free hand find my own on her thigh. Lacing our fingers together as she glances quickly to check for the unchanged light in front of us. Typical London traffic keeping me in a slightly uncomfortable spot. But I know Lizzie will worry if I don't be completely honest, so I give her a more honest reply this time around. "I'm just a little nervous about being in any crowds tonight. I know my balance and stability can be a little off sometimes, and the last thing I want is to be having a fall on a night like tonight." I admit, seeing her eyes soften instantly at my words. She squeezes my hand in hers before bringing it up to her lips, softly kissing my knuckles as her eyes gloss over slightly as she shakes her head gently. "I know you're not completely confident being on your feet yet, Harley. So, I made sure we wouldn't be somewhere that is busy tonight, I promise you." She tells me confidently, almost instant relief filling my body at her words. I copy her gentle smile as I let out a breath, I didn't realize I was holding onto as my body relaxes. "That is good to know." I reply with a much calmer tone, seeing her body deflate as she relaxes, and her worry disappears with ease. She tugs my hand towards her, my body following as she meets me in the middle for a quick, comforting kiss just as we both notice the lights starting to change. Our eyes meet for a second before she comfortably gets back to driving, her free hand shifting to the back of my neck as my hand moves back to her thigh, my thumb grazing over her skin as she effortlessly navigates through the streets of London to our destination.

"The Cinema?" I question as Lizzie parks the car in a small car park near one of the local Cinemas. I've been to this particular one before with Maisie and once or twice with Tom. It's a little out of the way, making it not as busy as some of the others nearby. Perfect for keeping a slightly low profile. I turn and see a growing smile on Lizzie's lips, obvious excitement building from her as she makes sure she has everything she needs before her eyes find mine again. "Yep. Is this, okay?" She checks, my own smile growing at her words. She is always so considerate, even before the incident. I nod my head gently in reply, seeing her eyes brighten instantly. "Are you sure?" She asks with slight hesitation, making my heart glow at how amazing she really is. "Very sure." I comfort, squeezing her thigh gently before we both slowly start to get out the car. Lizzie moving to my side, grabbing my crutches on her way before helping me stay stable as I get comfortable with them again. Once I am up and ready, Lizzie locks up the car before we make our way inside. Lizzie has her hand still wrapped around my arm as we walk side by side. As much as it is a little harder than usual, Lizzie has made sure to always have some sort of contact with me, even when I use my crutches. It's something I didn't think would bother me, but not being able to wrap my arm around her or be closer than we are now as we walk together is something I miss every day. I can't wait for the days we are walking side by side again. But until then, Lizzie is making sure to be as close as she can, and it is something I am very grateful for.

I try and take note of the posters as we head inside, wondering what we are going to be seeing. Nothing pops out, and my mind starts to tick over to itself before Lizzie slowly brings us to a stop just before the front desk. She gently moves to stand in front of me, the music playing quite loudly in the lobby as people walk back and forth past where we are now standing. I look down slightly, meeting her gentle gaze as she leans in my front so I can hear her words. "Stay here, and I will be right back, Soldier." She beams, making it impossible not to smile in reply as I gently nod my head. "Yes Ma'am." I tease, making her giggle before she pushes herself up on her tiptoes, meeting my awaiting lips in a quick kiss before she moves off towards a member of staff. I watch as they talk, seeing Lizzie's body almost jumping in excitement as they do. Leaning forward on the tops of my crutches, I let my body rest from the small walk, making sure not to overdo anything as my eyes stay glued on my amazing girlfriend across the room. And thankfully, it's not too long until she comes skipping back to where she left me, a beaming smile still etched onto her face as she makes short work of the walk back and greets me with another kiss. "I have an important question for you." She starts, her hands gently pressed against my stomach as her eyes never leave my own. I get a little nervous, but not letting my smile falter, I let my eyes search hers for a clue before replying. "Which is?" I ask softly into the small space between us, suddenly forgetting the world around us as I stare into her emerald, green eyes. "Are you a sweet of salted person?" She asks, instantly making me laugh as her smile never fades, if anything getting impossibly brighter. Her laughter quickly joins my own, making me fall all over again in just a simple moment. She makes everything so effortless, I will never know how I got to be the lucky person to have her in my life. A gentle tug at the front my shirt reminds me she asked a question, so I teasingly start to think before meeting her awaiting gaze. "It's got to be Sweet every time." I answer, making her giggle again as she nods her head before pecking my lips once more. "Good answer, Soldier."

We make our way towards the other side of the room, Lizzie ordering us some Popcorn and drinks as I opt to get us some sweets and chocolate too. I try and pay before she can, but without glancing in my direction, she pushes away my hand and gives me a look that I know all too well. I hold my hands up in defense before putting my wallet away, making her grin victoriously before she takes the tray and leads us towards the queue inside. But instead of joining the queue, Lizzie walks down the other side, giving the same staff member a small smile as she lets us through without having to show any type of ticket. I give her a smile as we pass before Lizzie leads us towards Screen 1. I look towards the wall to the side, trying to see what is being shown, but to my surprise there is nothing written on the list. My mind wondering again to what we are seeing before another member of Staff greets us at the doors to the screen. "Hello Miss Olsen, Miss Lane, please make yourselves comfortable. I am Millie and I will be here for anything you both need as you enjoy your Film tonight." A younger blonde member of staff greets, making us both smile as she holds the door open for us before following us inside. Lizzie leads us into the screen, it's fairly well lit, thankfully making it easier to navigate through with my crutches before we are welcomed by a completely empty Screen. My eyes search around for any clues before Lizzie calls my name from what must be our seats. "Come on Soldier, no time to waste." She teases, making me chuckle at her already getting comfortable as I make my way to where she is, seeing the seats in a perfect spot, and with so much leg room in front of them which is even better for us. Once I reach our seats, Lizzie quickly comes to help me as I place my crutches to one side before, I get comfortable in my seat. Lizzie is on my right, each of us with small tables to each side of us for our drinks and popcorn. I then turn to see the doors staying closed, before the lights dim every so slightly once we are both comfortable in our seats. Hold on, are we the only people seeing this film?

I don't have a lot of time to think about anything before we are greeted by Millie again, as well as two other members of staff who bring us some food to keep us going. We end up having Nachos with dipping sauces, Hot Dogs, Fries and even some Chicken Strips with dips. There is so much food, no wonder we only went for a small Tapas meal before coming here. Lizzie has deffinently planned this out to every detail, and it only makes tonight even more special. When we have all out food, we thank the staff before they leave us alone again, letting us know it will be a couple a minutes until the Film starts. I turn my attention to Lizzie once we are alone again, my smile beaming through the dim room as she is already looking at me. "You are amazing Elizabeth Chase. Thank you for all of this." I gush, making her smile beam even brighter as her eyes gloss over slightly in reply. "You're more than welcome, Harley. I wanted tonight to be special, and I hope I achieved that." She beams, and I lean over to kiss her over and over again. "You did 100 times over." I whisper into the small space between us before the lights completely dim as the screen widens with a white background. Our eyes move to the screen as our hands find each other between where we are sitting, but as we watch, it's not the usual opening to a Film that I am used to. Instead, the white background doesn't move as some 'Credits' start to roll onto the screen. Instantly my eyes fill with happy tears as I read the writing that is appearing on the screen.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY SOLIDER!

I KNOW YOU HAVE BEEN EXCITED TO SEE THIS MOVIE, SO I THOUGHT WE COULD SEE IT TOGETHER FOR THE FIRST TIME.

I HOPE TONIGHT IS A NIGHT TO REMEMBER, AND I CAN'T WAIT TO SPEND MANY MORE DAYS LIKE THIS CELEBRATING YOU BEING BY MY SIDE.

I LOVE YOU, AND I AM ALWAYS SO PROUD OF YOU.

YOU, HARLEY LANE, ARE MY HERO."

My eyes are now filled with emotional tears, so many emotions running through my body as I read the last line before a picture of us appears on the screen. It's one of my favorite pictures we have together, from the day we spent in L.A. when I taught Lizzie how to ride a Motorbike. We are both in our leather jackets with the stunning L.A. view in the background. But my eyes stay fixed on my stunning girlfriend with her beaming smile and bright forest green eyes. I wish we could go back to that time, spending so much time carefree and able to do anything. I hope we get there, one day. Being able to do whatever we want together with no boundaries on my ability to do anything or go anywhere. I feel the string of a tear running down my cheeks, but before I can react, Lizzie brings me into her arms. I feel her tears on my neck as she buries her head into it, both of us feeling everything together in this moment. Something I don't think neither of us expected seeing a picture like this. We just stay like this until the screen goes black as I catch the sound of the film being changed ready for what we are about to see together. My mind not worrying about that any longer as I gently pull away to bring Lizzie's eyes back to meet my own. "That was unexpected, I'm sorry if I-" Lizzie begins but before she can go any further, I shake my head gently as I wipe away her tears with my gentle touch. "Don't apologize, Lizzie. These are happy tears, mostly. Thank you for all of this. I love you." I quickly comfort her, making her smile through her teary eyes. "I love you more, Soldier." She quickly returns before we help each other gain our earlier composure just in time for the Film title to finally show on the screen. My eyes widen in shock and surprise when I see it, mentally slapping myself for not realizing it sooner. "No way!" I excitedly announce, making Lizzie giggle loudly as she grips at the back of my neck to keep me close as I turn my head to see her eyes again already watching me. "Surprise." She giggles, making me just laugh before meeting her lips again.

Both of us slowly fall into a comfortable position, staying as close as possible. Getting ready to watch my cousin smash it like he always does. Lizzie is right, I've been waiting impatiently to see this Film for a while now, so I can't wait to share this experience with her. Tonight, being the perfect way to spend a day like today with the love of my life by my side.

And Spider-Man Far From Home, was such a great Film!
