After a tiring day you arrive home a little later. You're surprised how quiet your house is right now, but you figured your girlfriend, Jenna, had already gone to bed. You entered the room you share and saw her lying down, at first you thought she was sleeping, but you heard her softly crying, you automatically got worried, You asked what was happening and she turned to you with teary eyes.

"I couldn't take so much criticism about me anymore..." She murmured.

"What happened love?" You asked, kneeling down in front of her.

She didn't reply, she just gave you her phone. As you look at her phone, you noticed a lot of comments on her latest post. Some of them were normal, other were nasty and cruel.

"I'm so tired of everything..." Tears fall down her cheeks

She sighed. "Everyone on the internet keeps commenting on my appearance, they are so nasty and cruel. I just can't take it anymore." Jenna turns to you, her expression so sad. "Don't you think I'm ugly?" Is the question she asked with the lowest voice you ever heard her speak.

"You? Ugly? Jenna you're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen in my entire life." You replied, moving her hair away from her face.

"Are you sure you're not lying? If you say these words only because you're my boyfriend and feel obligated to do so?" Jenna got closer to you, her eyes fixed on yours.

"I'm not just saying that. I thought that about you the first time I saw you" You gave her a small smile while caressing her cheek.

"Really?" Jenna gave you a little smile. She then wiped away her tears and took your hand, she looked straight in your eyes again."You're the only good thing in my life right now" She said in a sweet voice.

You smiled and kissed her forehead. Then, you got into bed and laid down beside her.

Jenna hugged you and kissed you on the lips. "I'm lucky that I have someone like you, who supports me." She smiled and held your hand with both of hers. "Let me just fall asleep in your arms, okay? I need some comfort..."

"Of course" You smiled at her and opened your arms as she laid her head on your chest.

Jenna, who seemed to be half asleep, mumbled. "I love you..." She then softly smiled again.

"I love you too" You replied, stroking her hair.

You can't help but admire the beauty of this girl. Jenna looked so peaceful while sleeping, you couldn't help but stroke her hair or caress her cheeks. Then the phone that was in her hands suddenly vibrated with messages, you looked at the screen, your curiosity took over. She seemed to have a lot of notifications from different people.

You saw notifications from Instagram, Twitter and various streaming platforms. The people who send these notifications are random users, but the messages are pretty much the same, they're insults directed towards her. You turned the phone off and kept it away from Jenna, so that she can enjoy peace. You placed it on the bedside table, so that she cannot see those messages if she wakes up.

Jenna snuggled closer to you and you can see that she's still asleep. As she slept, you looked at her eyes, her full lips and the beautiful face, you realized that all this hateful feedback about her appearance is simply nonsense.
