Lacey's POV
Today was the day that my school was having a lock-in, which was when we all stayed after school, slept there, and went home the next day. I was only doing it because my mom is making me, and some friends were going.

It was 1:30 A.M. when I heard screams. I shot up and looked at Annabeth, the person thrashing and screaming.
Miss Joy ran over to the corner of the gym we were in. "What's going on?!" By now, every girl in the gym was awake and watching the scene.
"I don't know!" I cried, "I just woke up and Annabeth was screaming!"
Miss Joy got close to Annabeth, and barley missed getting hit and kicked by the screaming teenager.
We tried to wake up Annabeth, but failed. We gave up and sat near her, waiting, when we heard something that was an actual word, not a scream.
"Percy!" Annabeth was crying, heartbreaking, terrible sobs echoed through the gym.
"Someone please find Percy Jackson, he should be in the lunchroom with the boys, tell him it's an emergency," Miss Joy told Becky.
A few minutes later, Percy Jackson, the hottest boy in 11th grade was in the gym. He was sprinting toward Annabeth.
"Watch out, she'll kick," I warned.
Percy dodged all of her kicks and punches easily. Then, he sat down and pulled Annabeth onto his lap.
"Wise Girl, we're out. It's gone now, we are safe. Everything's okay, I love you," Percy whispered into Annabeth's ear.
Miss Joy looked outraged that Percy had pulled Annabeth onto his lap and was about to yell at him when Percy said quietly:"I wouldn't do that if I were you." Miss Joy was still angry, but she didn't say anything.
Finally, after a few minutes, Annabeth was awake and sobbing loudly into Percy's shoulder.
Miss Joy finally spoke up, "I don't mean to be rude, but what happened that would make her act like... This?"
Percy closed his eyes for a minute, as if he was recalling a horrible memory, then answered, "We went through something that I can only describe as hell together. Often, we have flashbacks that we can't control. They're... Horrible, to say the least. Please, just give us a few minutes."
All of us 11th grade girls sat there in astonishment at the fact of Annabeth Chase, the most toughest, girl that we've ever known, was completely broken over something that had happened. I even saw Percy Jackson cry a little bit.
Eventually, Miss Joy announced that it was time to sleep and that Annabeth should be put into her sleeping bag now, to which Percy responded with:
"Never in a million years. It's difficult after you have a flashback, the images haunt you, you can't do anything but think about it."
And after 45 minutes of fighting, Miss Joy, who was not so joyful, allowed them to sleep together if they promised not to "do anything other than sleep".
Annabeth and Percy slept in a sleeping bag and I didn't hear any other screams.
When we woke up, Percy and Annabeth were inseparable. None of us girls said anything about it, and when the boys found out, they too said nothing once they saw their tear-stained cheeks and the bags under their eyes.
2 in 1 night?! Wow! I'm just kidding, I couldn't sleep, so I decided to write.

Mortals Meet Percabeth
FanfictionA bunch of one-shots of Percy and Annabeth through the eyes of mortals and a few demigods. I try my best to not make a super cliché one shot, so most of them aren't in High School. I do not own Percy Jackson, as I am not Rick Riordan.
