narrator pov.
'come on, uncle aaron, pick up. pick up!' miles thinks as he dials his uncle's number, running to an unknown direction. aaron doesn't pick up, instead miles' call goes straight to voice mail. 'no. no-no-no-no-no. it's not possible! it's just puberty. it's a normal spider and i'm a normal kid!' he swerves between people, hitting some as he does so. miles approaches a fast moving car. the car stops with a screech, miles jumps over it and lands perfectly. people cheer and woo as they watch him touch the ground.
later that night, miles searches for answers. sitting down a subway train, slouched over he scrolls on his phone. 'i gotta tell someone.' he pushes down on his dad's contact, calling him with anticipation. the call rings, but no reply. miles stops calling and sighs. leaning back in his seat he exhales, seeming to have found a plan to do instead of waiting.
miles exits the train, walking towards the place aaron showed him the other night. "okay, you're being crazy, miles. you're being crazy." he whispers as he continues to stroll down the train tracks, holding out his flashlight as a light source. "find the spider. you'll see." he walks down a piece of stairs cautiously, his breathing heavy. he shines the light on the ground, the cyan tipped spider was laid there, curled up into a ball.
"it's a normal spider. it's, like, boring how normal this spider is." miles mutters, crouching down to touch it. the spider crackles, glitching into different colors. he gasps, moving backwards frantically. growling is heard from beyond where the spider was. he decides to walk towards the strange noise, his vision tinting blue. 'i'm right here' a voice speaks inside miles mind. 'why is this happening to me?' he thinks, squinting his eyes.
his vision tints even more as he continues to walk down the hallway. 'slow down! what am i doing?' miles softly opens beige curtains, walking over to a big wall with windows. miles crouches down lowly, multiple voices taking down his mind. voice 1: 'way over there.' voice 2: 'you're like me.' voice 3: 'miles, look out.' voice 4: 'i don't wanna be a hero. miles.' he stops crouching down, a itchy feeling bringing him out the agony.
'LOOK OUT' miles jumps forward, avoiding the crate that was thrown right at him.
y/n pov.
the large goblin throws spider-man towards a green metal crate. i watch from above as spider tries to talk to the creature. "norman, listen to me. i can not let you open a portal into another dimension. Brooklyn is not zoned for that." green goblin jumps down and talks back, "it's not up to me. why won't you quit!?"
"i guess i like Brooklyn not being sucked into a black hole. Stated island, maybe. not Brooklyn." spider says as he shoots out webs, kicking norman in the face. i decide to take this chance and swing in, designing a large claw with my silk i swipe it across the goblin's back. goblin returns a loud screech and i cant help but giggle a little. "there's my favorite spider-girl!" spider shouts, goblin decides to throw a swoop towards us. "i'm the only spider-girl, you dunce!" i yell back, dodging norman's attacks.
