HURTmiles pov.
we bored our eyes to the outlines of people? i'm not sure—that we're hanging onto the blueprint of the webs overhead. their eyes glowed, adding to the growing goosebumps forming on my skin.
"you think you're the only people who thought to come here?" aunt may asked us bringing me back to reality. i squinted my eyes at one of the figures, the person was wearing a cape, more material to make fun of peter about him saying that: 'spiderman doesn't wear a cape'. well that is if the person even is spider-man, i still couldn't tell.
"hey, fellas." the cape wearing man lifted his hat in greeting, and even though the light shone down on him, his body stayed in the dull tones of black and white. i analyzed his costume for the quick seconds i stared at him, realizing that indeed, he was spider-man. "is he in black and white?" i pondered, making sure i wasn't delusional.
"where's that wind coming from? we're in a basement." peter asked. "wherever i go, the wind follows. and the wind, it smells like rain." he motioned with his hand, i winced but in the corner of my eye i noticed silk's eye twitch up, as if she was amused. i felt a shiver of jealousy rise up in my stomach before i quickly pushed it away.
i averted my eyes and focused them on a girl that looked almost half my age, sitting on top of a large red and blue robot. "hi, guys!" she saluted with a closed eyed smile. she then proceeds to say something in japanese, which i couldn't really comprehend, as she jumped off of her machine, landing with multiple fight poses she did with her robot.
"this could literally not get any weirder." peter spoke but just then a tiny pig, straight out of a cartoon dressed in a spider-man costume walked towards us.
"it can get weirder." the pig spoke, and i heard peter sigh beside me but i couldn't help but be entertained. he then raised his hand in greeting but it was dripping with water—i think. "i just washed my hands. that's why they're wet. no other reason."
my spider senses started to go off, and i guess they went off for the rest too cause silk, gwen and peter started to squint their eyes at the others, who also did the same.
"you're like me."
they all began to ramble about their stories, their names, how they got bit, where they're from. the normal start of spider-man's story. "okay! enough!" peter interrupted porkers story, "so, uh, how did you get here?"
"well, it's kind of a long story." noir answered and they quickly replayed how they ended up in our universe and it was all the same. "maybe not that long." he shrugged. "and now we're just trying to find a way home." peni continued, and her robot behind her face turned to a sad, teary eyed expression.
