Casey
I woke up in a different bedroom than I usually wake up in. When I turned around, I saw Jack texting someone by the name 'Vanessa'. I tried to read his screen, but Jack seemed to notice I was up, since he locked his phone and turned around to face me. "Good morning, gorgeous." He pecked my nose and left his arm on my waist.
"Morning, Jack. Who were you texting?" I asked as I looked up into his beautiful eyes. "No one." He shortly answered my question, but I could tell something was up. "Aww, is Jack crushing on someone? Do I need to make her fall in love with you?" I teased him, poking his stomach a couple of times.
"How would you make her fall in love with me?" Jack asked, his nose touching mine. "Well, I would meet up with her somehow and just talk positively about you." I explained as I broke eye contact with Jack. "I would leave out the parts where you're being an asshole most of the time or how you always get what you want." I joked, but Jack seemed to take it seriously.
"I don't always get what I want." He said stubbornly. I decided to push it a little further. "Give me an example then." I demanded and brushed my nose softly against his. "For example when I wanted you to be mine." As soon as he said that, I felt a sharp pain in my chest, almost as if someone just stabbed me in my heart.
I pulled away from Jack and coughed awkwardly as I stared at the ceiling. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have brought that up." Jack apologised as he tried to pull me back against his body, but I refused to move. "Jack, if you want Vanessa or whoever the girl you're crushing on is, to fall for you, then you shouldn't act like this with me." I said, getting up from his bed.
"What do you mean?" Jack asked, following my steps as I walked into the bathroom. "I wouldn't like it either if we were starting something special and find out you're this close with someone." I made it clear to him what I was trying to say. Jack grabbed my wrists, so I wouldn't walk away from him and stared deep into my soul, as if he was about to cast a spell on me or something.
"Look, if dating a girl means losing you, then I don't ever want to date again. I don't want to go through losing you a second time, Casey." Jack's voice was low and raspy by now, meaning he was starting to get emotional. "Jack, I'm not saying I will leave you every time you fall for a girl, but just stop giving girls false hope." I spoke partly for myself. I wonder if Jack still likes me the way he did before I rejected him...
Or did the feelings fade away?
Sam
"Fucking shit." I hissed, slamming my hand on top of the counter. "You mean she knows I lied to her about Jack?" I asked again, just to make sure. Andrew nodded as he sipped from his home made smoothie. "Well, there goes my fucking plan. Who even brought them together, what a fucking asshole." I cursed, wanting to rip Jack apart.
"I need a plan B as soon as possible. If I can't get her, Jack won't either." I whispered to myself, trying to come up with a slick plan. It didn't even matter anymore if she ends up with me or not,
I just didn't want Jack to have her. He can't win."Dude, I have the perfect plan for you." Andrew spoke up out of a sudden and I started debating on whether or not I should let him share his idea. Usually he comes up with unrealistic, stupid ideas, but I'm out of ideas myself, so let's give it a try.
"Remember the boy Casey posted a picture with when she lived in Australia, they had like a 'thing' going on?" Andrew started off, making me more curious. "Yeah, what about him?" I asked, not trying to sound too desperate.
"Well, what if you contact him and let him come on a surprise visit. She's probably going to fall for him all over again. I'm pretty sure they had feelings for each other." Andrew, for once, said something brilliant. I smiled widely, patting And's back. "You're a genius, dude." I complimented him, he deserved it this time.
"Yeah, I can be a genius at times." Andrew said proudly, nodding his head. "Now I only need to get his contact information." I whispered to myself, but Andrew seemed to hear me. "Let me fix this for you, bro. Give me one day." Andrew confidently said and walked straight out the door.
