Casey
I woke up with the weirdest feeling I ever had on this day. I was sad, but excited for this surprise Jack had for me. He told me it would be the best surprise I could ever ask for and it better be, because I don't want to be disappointed on a day like this one.
I woke up and grabbed the picture of my mom laying on my nightstand, hugging it to death. It's been 3 years, but it seemed like it just happened yesterday.
Jack was nowhere to be found, so I decided to hop in the shower before I'd go look for him.
"Good morning, princess." Jack spoke up as soon as I walked into the kitchen. He was flipping pancakes and already laid out two plates of bacon and an omelet on the table.
"Oh look, you succeeded into making omelets!" I giggled, remembering Jack's previous attempts at making omelets.
"Yes, of course, I'm a chef." Jack scoffed, pretending to flip his hair. I stood on my toes to kiss his lips and sat down at the table, with Jack across from me. "I decided to have breakfast early so we can visit the cemetry." Jack said, the mood suddenly changing. Memories of my mom and I flooded through my head as tears started to build up.
"Baby, don't cry. Always remember she's in a much better place now. She doesn't want you to cry either." Jack walked over to me, hugging me and caressing my cheeks. "I just miss her so much, I wish I would've spent more time with her. I didn't take it serious enough when she got sick, I should've took care of her." I silently cried, holding Jack firmly.
"You were tangled in your own mess, Casey. Don't blame yourself, you know your mom love you no matter what." Jack shushed me.
After a minute or three of me crying in Jack's arms, I was able to finish my breakfast and get ready to visit my mother's grave.

"Thank you for coming along, Jack." I said, breaking the silence while we were driving back home. "Are you kidding me? Of course I would come along, I love your mom, she created you." Jack said, making me smile at his comment.
"Are you ready for the surprise?" Jack asked, his hand resting on my knee. I nodded confidently, until Jack said, "Trust me, you're not ready." With a chuckle.
I noticed Sam's car parked in front of the building, but I decided not to mention it. Jack led me upstairs, stopping me in front of the door to our apartment. "Here we go." Jack says excited, unlocking the front door.
As we walked inside, I was met by Johnson, Sam, Andrew and Zac. I furrowed my eyebrows, glancing at Jack who had a smile on his face.
"Come on." He pulled me by my wrist, leading me into the living room. I noticed my grandmother and an unknown man sitting on the couch. I greeted my grandmother with the biggest hug ever, before I was introduced to the stranger.
"Casey, um, this is Joey Vale... Your father." As soon as my grandma finished her sentence, my mouth fell open and my eyes started watering. I looked at the man in front of me who started to get emotional as well.
"Dad?" I whispered, covering my mouth to block the sobs. "Casey, it's me." He said, hearing his voice for the first time in my life. I jumped into his arms, hugging him for what seemed like forever.
As I was hugging my dad, I saw Jack standing a little further, smiling widely.
{damn, this made me cry a little because it reminded me of my dad. our relationship is wonderful, but he lives in canada and i only get to see him a few times a year, but i'm visiting him soon and i'll spend a whole month with him!! anyways, the end is near...}
