Casey
"Can you hand me the eggs?" I asked Jack, who was watching me preparing breakfast. "I'll make the omelet, I can do this." He said, walking over to the counter.
"Jack, last time I remember you making an omelet, it ended up on the floor, so no thank you." I chuckled, grabbing the eggs before he could. Suddenly, my bedroom door went open and a half-sleeping Nate walked in.
"Good morning, sleepy head." I giggled, giving him a peck on the cheek. I could tell Jack tensed up. "What's up." Nate greeted Jack with a hand shake. "Ooh, you're making pancakes... And eggs? What did I do to deserve this." Nate stood next to me as he tried to steal a pancake.
"I'm in a good mood." I simply replied, smiling down at the pile of pancakes. "Why so, huh?" Nate asked as he seated himself on top of the counter. "Because I have my two favourite people here with me." I mumbled, which made Nate and Jack look at each other for a second. It went mute after I said that, so I tried to start a new subject to wash the awkwardness away.
"I'm inviting Bea over today." I said, finishing the pancakes and placing them onto the table so Jack and Nate could start eating. "No, you're not." Nate blurted out, so I furrowed my eyebrows at him, waiting for him to explain.
"What I mean is that you, Casey, are going to do something else today." Nate tried to tell me something with his eyes, but it was unclear to me what exactly. He quickly glanced over at Jack and then back at me, which made me realise what he was trying to say.
"Right, I totally forgot!" I giggled nervously, hoping Jack wouldn't catch on.
"Nate, can you please help me with the dishes." I asked. He had no choice anyway, I wanted to talk to him. "Here you clean this up." I handed Nate some plates to wash. "So are you going to tell Jack you want to be with him?" Nate whispered, nudging my side.
"I don't know, I'm scared he's going to reject me just like I did." I mumbled. "Do you really think Jack's going to reject you? He loves you." Nate stopped washing the dishes. "Anyway, just take him to a park or something and start talking." Nate demanded.
"Now?" I asked hesitantly.
"Now."

"Why did you want to go for a walk?" Jack asked all of a sudden.
"Why does there have to be a reason? Can I not go for a walk with you?" I asked, acting offended. "You and Nate started acting weird this morning, I know something's up." Jack explained. I sighed and stopped walking when I saw a bench. "Let's sit down first." I said and seated myself on the bench.
"I don't even know where to start..." I trailed off and stared down at my fingers. "Okay, listen, I had some serious conversations with certain people and they pretty much said the same thing. I know I shouldn't do what people tell me to do, but I feel like this is the right decision and this decision should have been made a long time ago." I spoke carefully, so Jack could follow along.
"Jack, I... I love you and I want to start a whole new chapter with you." I blurted out, Jack's mouth slightly parting as a reaction.
"Casey, are you trying to tell me-"
"Jack, I want to be your girlfriend."
It went mute for a couple of seconds, the only sound being the birds singing their song. Without any word being said, Jack held my face and connected our lips as we started to make out... In the middle of the park.
We both pulled away from the kiss at the same time, Jack holding me firmly in his arms as he pecked my forehead several times.
"So... We're really a thing now?" Jack asked, needing cofirmation. "Yes, we are." I said as Jack let out a scoff. "Can't believe this is actually happening, you're mine." Jack mumbled. I laid my head on top of his chest and listened to his peaceful heart beating in his chest.
"I'm yours."
