Casey
Life hasn't been as good as it is right now in a while. It seemed as if everything was slowly but finally falling into place. Almost as if God decided he had put me through enough to let me live a peaceful and normal life now.
I survived.
But for some reason, I didn't feel like this was just 'it'. It can't be. That's not my luck. I knew something bad is around the corner, about to hit me up once again and ruin everything, just like all those times it hit me up in the past two years.
I was currently cuddling Jack on his couch as he was watching a basketball game on TV. "Are you bored?" Jack asked, pausing the TV. "No, I'm just enjoying this moment." I simply replied and buried my head into Jack's chest.
It's not like a lot has changed, Jack and I were always this close. But this time, I didn't have to worry about trying to not catch feelings. I let all of my feelings free and I was ready for the feels to hit me... Until one person popped up into my mind.
Bea.
"I think I'm going to call Bea, haven't talked to her in a while." I spoke up and stood onto my feet. As soon as I entered Jack's room, I sat down on his bed and dialled Bea's number on my phone.
"Hello?"
"Bea, it's me."
"Oh wow, you're alive." I could tell that was definitely sarcastic.
"Yes, actually feeling better than ever." I casually said, hoping she wouldn't notice the hint I gave her. But knowing Bea, she's smarter than you'd think.
"Why so, huh?"
"Well, I may or may not..."
"You may or may not what?"
"I'm dating Jack." I blurted out, ready to hear Bea ranting about how I should listen to her advice, whatever.
Surprisingly, she did the exact opposite, "That's cool. I'm happy for you." It was as if everyone around me spoke to each other and agreed on letting Jack and I finally be together.
"Really? Bea, are you serious?" I asked, startled.
"Yes, Casey, I'm dead serious. If he makes you happy, fine. I shouldn't be standing in your way of being with the one you love." Bea explained calmly.
"Thank you, so much." I thanked Bea a couple of times and decided to return to Jack.
"I just got off the phone with Johnson." Jack started talking as soon as I walked into the living room. "Oh really?" I seated myself next to Jack and waited for him to get to the point.
"There's this party tonight. He wants us to tag along." Jack said. "Where's the party?" I asked, leaning my head on the top of my hand. "Omaha... If you're not ready to go back, we could just stay here, it's totally fine-"
"No Jack, we're going, I don't care anymore." I said, feeling way more confident now I knew I had Jack by my side. I actually wanted to go back there and show that even through all the bullshit, Jack and I still found our way to each other.
"Okay, whatever you want, babe." Jack said, holding his hands up defensively.
-
"Case, how long is it going to take for you to finish getting ready?" Jack whined as he laid down on my bed. "Chill Jack, I just need to finish up my make-up." I mumbled, applying a layer of mascara.
"It's dark, no one will see your make-up-" I interrupted Jack before he could even finish that sentence. "Well maybe, I'm putting on make-up for myself." I said, throwing everything into my purse. "Now stop whining and let's leave." I said, pulling Jack out of my room.
{alright, i'm going to keep my chapters short from now on, because i want to reach 30 chapters. comment & vote loves!}
