Kyler immediately dialed emergency services and they began questioning the two.
Kyler walked towards June, who still stood in terror. As much as Kyler wanted to cry, he had to be strong, at least for June. "June, June... J-june," Kyler said, gently shaking his friend's shoulders to wake him from the daze. June looked at him and soon burst into tears, and Kyler immediately enveloped him in a comforting embrace.
"It's okay... i-it's okay," Kyler murmured, rubbing the back of June's head and reassuring him that everything would be alright, even though his own voice was shaking. Chicago was their friend, and it must have been terrifying for June to see him in that state.
June sobbed on Kyler's chest, "W-why?... why?! T-this can't be... he promised me...." Kyler just held him tighter as June stuttered and hiccuped.

"I know this might seem awkward for you, but can I ask you out?" Chicago asked.
June looked up at him, his stomach almost flipping and his heart fluttering.
"You can reject me, June. You don't have to-"
"No! I-I mean, yes! I would love to..." June stuttered, making Chicago smile.
"We'll go slow," Chicago said.
"Promise me that tomorrow, y-you'll take me out on a date!" June requested.
Chicago chuckled, "After my work, how about a night date?" June pouted, but it didn't mean he didn't like the idea.
"That's cool too, but promise me, okay?" June knew that Chicago could get a little busy, but tomorrow, he wanted to spend his time with him.
"I promised," Chicago assured.
But he broke it.
