Prompt 23: If I Never Saw You Again

Ladynoire sigh "That akuma was tough yesterday right?" Ladynoire said as the duo are drinking juice🥤 on a rooftop. Mr.Bug told her to meet up today he even bought them juice. Ladynoire drinks her cup then speak again.

"But we won as always, right Bugaboy?" Her smile turned into a frown she noticed the boy next to her didn't answer as he stared down at his juice looking sad.

"Mr.Bug? Is something wrong?" She asked him, but he still didn't speak, he also hadn't talk to her today. She worried.

"Mr.Bug?" She asked again.

"You need to stop." He finally speak.

"What?"

"You need to stop!" He looks up at her face as she saw his face looks so serious.

"Need to stop what?" She asked him but he lowered his head again.

"Mr.Bug please tell me what is it?" She touched his shoulder, she worried even more.

He still looks down at his juice, closed his mouth.

"Mr.Bug! Mr.bug! What's wrong?" She shaken his shoulder.

"Please I need to stop what! Your scaring me!" She begged him, he opens his eyes.

Then he put his juice aside looks up at her put his hands on her shoulders.

They stared at each other for awhile as Ladynoire was about to ask again when he hugged her tightly. She was stunned and frozen as he hugged her.

"You need to stop sacrificing for me!" He cried holding her.

Ladynoire then realized he was talking about the yesterday akuma.

'That day a kid got akumatized because some bullied ruined his birthday present which is a toy robot.

He turned into a giant robot shoot beams that erased anything out of existence.

He wants to erase the bullies and anyone who stands in his way. Including the heroes he admired.

As they already found the object that the akuma as hidden. Mr.Bug falls to ground, unnoticed the robot's arm aimed at him from behind him, charging its power.

"Mr.Bug Watch Out!!!" Ladynoire warned him while running fast to him.

He turned around hears her but then the robot power charged shooted his beam at him as Mr.Bug closed his eyes prepared to be disintegrate.

But nothing happened as he slowly opened his eyes to see his partner hugging him.

"Lady?" He blushed a little then looks at her back in shock.

She was slowly fading.

She got hit by the beam.

She protected him from the beam.

She slowly pulls away then smiled at him.

"I trust you to bring me back Bugaboy!" She winks as her body slowly fading away.

"No! No! Not Again! Ladynoire!!!" He tries to hold her face but she already faded away out of existence.

He cried. Cried for her.

Cried for his lady.

Hears the robot's laughter as the civilian yelling in fear. He slowly standing up wipe his tears away. Run to fight.

After the miraculous cure spreaded a cross Paris. He rushes to her quickly. She then said: "I knew you will save me!" Before they could talk again, Mr.Bug miraculous beeped.

He quickly said to her meet him tomorrow then swing away.'

Ladynoire returned the hug patted his back.

"I told you a million times! You need to stop sacrificing for me!" He said it again.

She pulls away "I know but is my job to help you and protect you for you to save Paris."

"No! Is our job to save Paris! Is our job to protect Paris! And I don't need you to protect me!" He yelled.

"But the bea-"

"I could have use my yo-yo to deflect it!" He holds up his yo-yo to her.

"I know bu-"

"I could have dodge it. And I could prote-"

"MR.BUG!" She yelled he stopped.

Ladynoire sigh, hold his hand look at him deeply "I know you could protect yourself but think this what if the beam hit you, you fade away, and even if I captured the akuma there's nothing could purified it and there's no miraculous cure to bring the people back because you're the only one who could fix everything and....."

"And?" He said.

"If I never saw you again I don't think I could ever live with that!" She looks away at him blinking away her tears.

Mr.Bug though for awhile and she was right if he got hit there's nothing could save the people and fix the damage the akuma made.

He holds the miraculous of the ladybug. The miraculous of Creation. The magic jewel that has the power that could fix everything.

He slowly hold her chin up at him, she looks at him as he wiped her tears then stared at her green cat eyes.

"You were right! But when you sacrificed I thought what if I fail and could not bring back the people!" He fix her hair "And bring back you!" She blushed.

She brings her hands to his face "Don't say that, I know and I trust that you will save the day because you're the best superhero there ever was!" She said with sympathy and his heart just flutter.

"Thanks Kitten!" He hugs her again "But please, no more sacrifice okay!" She hugs him back.

"Okay!" She lied.
