Hikari Aina POV
I woke up early today and decided that I would watch the sunrise. Everyone is probably asleep right now which is great cause I could use some alone time
I went to the kitchen to make hot tea and go out back but to my surprise Aomine helping himself to some of the dessert I made last night
"Morning" I chirped, we're starting over so I guess I should at least try and defuse any awkward tension between us. I still don't know what to talk about with him
"Morning, you're up early"
"Yeah, I think it's the time difference. I'm making hot tea, want some?" I asked
"Sounds good. What do you plan on doing before everyone wakes up?"
"Was planning on watching the sun rise" I said, making the tea. Something about drinking warm tea warms my soul
"Boring, come with me for a run and before you say no. I'm stating not asking" He said, I'm actually looking forward to some alone time but it's been a while since I did cardio. Maybe running can help clear my mind as well
"Sure but I'm watching the sunrise first and then we're running" I said and gave him his tea
"Look, if you really want to see the sunrise. Go change and I'll show you the best spot" He said
"But I-" I started
"Quit being a hardass and go change" He said, I glared at him
"Fine, this spot better be good" I said going back to my room and changing into a tank sports top and a tight bike shorts. I decided to bring my jacket with me just in case it's cold.
After getting ready I went back to the kitchen to meet up with Aomine, he's carrying a bag with him
"Finally, took you long enough. C'mon, wouldn't want to miss the sunrise" I followed him and he took the car keys with him
"Aomine, where are we going?" I asked confused, why would we need a car
"Just shut up and get in the car, you'll see" he said and I did. I got in the car, he turned the radio on and an unfamiliar song comes on. The car ride was silent but not in a bad way, it doesn't feel like I have to fill it in
"We're here" He said parking the car after a 15 minute drive
"How is a parking lot the best place to watch the sunrise?" I asked annoyed, I should've stayed back at the villa
He rolled his eyes "I definitely didn't miss all the complaining" He muttered to himself
"What did you say?"
"Just get out and follow me" He said
"Where are we Aomine?"
"We're watching the sunrise from up that hill, we're probably not going to run cause you want to watch the sunrise but I need the cardio so we're climbing the hill" He said walking towards the hill
Looking at it, it doesn't look like it would be hard to climb. I followed him up the hill and it took another 15 minutes to get to the top. The big dummy in front of me decided that we should jog to the top and he didn't even bother to stop for breath. Stupid athletic dummy, it was so hard to keep up with him
"Aomine wait up, can we at least not jog" I said between breaths
"No, if you wanna walk just walk but don't blame me if you miss the sunrise" Yep, I definitely should've just stayed in the villa
"This better be worth it!" I glared at the dummy
When we reached the top, I was proud of myself. I actually had the same pace as him for the last 10 minutes, he probably slowed down a bit so I can keep up
