So this is based off of true events that happened to me at my county's fair. Enjoy!!

I was walking around with my friends, Chloe and Nick, when I saw c/n over by the Junior Fair Board office building.

"Hey, there's c/n," I nudged my friends and pointed over at him.

Since we all love c/n so very dearly even though we just met him this week, we all shouted and waved aggressively at him as we made our way over to where he was standing.

"What's up?" I asked with a smile.

"Bro, I lost 10 bucks around here somewhere, and if I don't find it, my dad's gonna kill me. It's his money."

"Oh, sh**," I muttered, glancing around the area for the money.

"Where do you think you lost it at?" Nick asked.

"I don't know... It should be around here somewhere..."

"We'll help you look," I stated, and my friends nodded in agreement.

I followed c/n as he retraced his steps. After a little bit, I turned around to say something to my friends, but they weren't there.

"Looks like it's just us now," I said.

"Oh, the others ditched us??"

"Yeah, they're a**holes honestly."

"You can go with your friends if you want..." he said softly, not looking back at me, but I could see him smiling.

"No, it's okay," I replied.

c/n nodded and then stopped abruptly.

"I might've accidentally handed the money to my friend when I gave him something!!" he exclaimed, getting out his phone to call his friend.

I leaned against a post as we waited, and accidentally found myself staring up at c/n. Why does he have to be kinda cute?? He's not even my type, why am I obsessed?! He caught my gaze and I quickly looked away before he could see me blushing.

His friend came running up to us after about a minute (which gave me and c/n plenty of time to have semi-awkward conversations) and he glanced from me to c/n with a weird expression.

I guess we did kinda look like a couple. At the fair, if you see a boy and a girl together, they're almost always a couple. So it probably did look that way. But that didn't bother me in the slightest, it actually made me feel happier to think that people passing by thought me and c/n were together.

"Um, I'm gonna go." I said randomly, and then walked off to find my friends. I don't know, but it was starting to get awkward and I hated that. So I left.

I looked back and saw c/n and his friend whispering to eachother, both of them smiling slightly. I guess I just assumed that they were talking about me because I'm a self centered b****. 💅💅

[Time Skip]

Now I'm walking around with only Chloe because Nick had to leave.** I had just confessed to her that I liked c/n, and she was squeeling with excitement.

**Nick lives in a different state but spends the summer where I live, and that day was the last time I'd see him until next summer. Because he ran away with Chloe while I helped c/n, I never got to say goodbye to him. Crying.

"Oh my gawd, I knew it!!"

"Well don't make it a big deal, cuz I'll be over him by next week. I probably only like him cuz I'm bored. I don't know."

"Okay, but still, you like c/nnnnn!!"

My eyes widened as I saw c/n only a few feet in front of us. I looked at Chloe to see if she saw, and she definitely did. Her eyes lit up and she ran to him just as I was about to run away from him.

I quickly caught up to her and covered her mouth before she could tell c/n anything. I saw that c/n was staring at us weird, but I didn't really care. All I cared about was him not finding out.

The same friend that c/n had called earlier was there, and he told Chloe to make three sounds if I liked c/n. THANKFULLY, Chloe didn't make any noises.

Once c/n was out of sight, I let go of my friend's mouth and calmed down.

[Time Skip]

We were walking back to the sheep barn, and OF COURCE c/n had to run into us again. Istg he's literally everywhere.

"Hey, what was Chloe trying to say that you didn't want me to hear??"

I ran away before I could hear anything Chloe said and watched them talk from afar. I felt like I was gonna die from the amount of stress this was giving me. :D

Once they were done talking, c/n looked over in my direction and gave me a funny smile. I felt like screaming.

The next day, Chloe said that she didn't tell c/n that I liked him because she's a loyal bbg and that he probably just found out on his own.

That all happened in the time span of a few hours. What did we learn today? Never tell someone who your crush is unless you're prepared for the consequences.
