I'm sitting close to c/n on the warm sand as we both gaze out into the infinite blue waters. The scent of salt and ocean breeze overwhelmes my senses and the gritty sand sticks to my toes.
This is my home.
I lead my sights down to our interlocked fingers placed on the dirty beach towel. c/n's hand is damp with sweat and heat, but it doesn't bother me at all.
I won't let go.
I look up to admire c/n's perfected face, his jawline clenches slightly as he chews on the inside of his cheek like he always does. I swim my way inside his cool blue eyes that are waving with energy.
He's my beautiful.
A polite smile stretches it's way across his entire face as his thoughtful eyes meet my stare. c/n consumes me in a tight embrace and I wrap my arms around his bare back.
I'm happy here.
I let out a satisfied breath and place my chin on c/n's sunburned shoulder. He twirls my messy brown curls around his pointer finger.
"Do you love me?"
The impactful words slip out of my parted lips without me even realizing. c/n's chest heaves up and down like the ocean's steady tide and a chuckle echoes from him to my ear.
"What do you think?"
