You and your senior are more than just friends, aren't you?

Type obviously couldn't ask this question out loud. What would he sound like? A girlfriend jealous of her boyfriend's friends? That's not possible, Type is not a girl, so he has no reason to behave jealously. It's girls who go through their boyfriends' phones, not the other way around! So no reason to be jealous of this senior, who apparently knows Tharn much better than Type knows Tharn.

Type was in the bathroom, he needed to leave the table. He couldn't stand to watch his guy get hit on by his lousy senior any longer. Why did Techno have to ask him to come? He knows why he's Type with strangers and he also knows how he's still not comfortable with his relationship with Tharn? Why can't anyone understand that he needs time?

He had to calm down, he knew he had a tendency to let his emotions get the better of him and then he couldn't control anything, neither his actions nor his words. And above all, he couldn't let this senior think that his words were getting to him, he had to pretend that everything was fine. He was not yet ready to come out to his friends – other than Techno, that weasel – so not to a stranger!

After splashing cold water on his face to try to calm his emotions, he noticed someone standing behind him. Guess who: P'San, HIS boyfriend's senior. Why couldn't he leave him alone? It was obvious that he needed some time alone, in peace... Unless, that was expressly why P'San was there. P'San doesn't want him to be quiet, he doesn't want him to regain his composure!

"What is your relationship with N'Tharn?", San's voice cut through the silence.

What kind of question is that? Is he asking San about his relationship with Tharn? No! Although he would have liked to ask Tharn that question himself. But to ask that question would be to admit that he is jealous, and that is not possible!

"... Roommate," Type couldn't think of any other words to describe his relationship with Tharn out loud. He couldn't say they were a couple, that would be like coming out to a stranger. A stranger who Type didn't know if he knew Tharn was gay... Okay, at the time, Type was acting in bad faith, San couldn't ignore the fact that Tharn was gay, given the snide looks he was giving Type and the flirting he was doing to Tharn. In fact, he'd probably even figured out that they were both a couple, Tharn and Type. So why was he asking that damn question!!!!!!!

The smile San gave in response was probably meant to be charming, but Type knew. Type knew that the smile was just a façade of kindness, that San was about to say something that Type would not like. San was a bastard, a bastard, and nothing would change Type's mind about that.

"So you're just his roommate..." San still had his little smirk on his face, which made Type want to punch him in the face... or several.

Roommate? Yes! Only roommate? No!!!! For once in his life, Type wished his overflow of emotion and anger would allow him to say what was really in his heart. Instead, the only thing it did for him was to throw shit around, as a roommate, so that no one would know he wasn't that stereotypical cisgender straight guy any more.

"And his boyfriend!", Did Type just say that? From the surprised look on San's face, yes, it was him who said that, out loud. No, he can't admit to being with a guy to a stranger? He had to calm down, San wouldn't do anything to Tharn with this information, Type had already come to the conclusion that San knew.

San tried to pull himself together as quickly as possible. He had not expected Type to react like this. He thought Type would deny his relationship with Tharn. He couldn't let Type win. He knows people like Type, they think they can take everything and give nothing in return. He'll only hurt Tharn. He can't let a straight guy hurt Tharn! And he had a piece of information that would surely bring Type out of his shell. Maybe not in front of him, but probably with Tharn. And Tharn will see the true face of his boyfriend.
