After a good dinner of butterscotch pie (Toriel said snail pie is tomorrow. Maybe she means escargot? You like butterscotch better, though), you are lying in your bed. It's nice to have some place to stay that isn't empty where laughter and hugs should have been. You try to think of something else so your dreams don't turn into memories of arriving at an empty house all alone. You find yourself thinking of that skeleton. Sans, that's his name. He's a mystery. You've always been good at figuring people out. Why is he so hard? Your last thought before you drift off is

"I wonder if he's any cuter when he smiles..."

Sans' POV

(Sorry guys, I have to)

(Me noticing he still has ketchup... NEVER GONNA GIVE YOU UP, NEVER GONNA LET YOU DOWN, NEVER GONNA RUN AROUND AND DESERT YOU, NEVER GONNA MAKE YOU CRY, NEVER GONNA SAY GOODBYE, NEVER GONNA TELL A LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIE AND HURT YOU!)

It's so dark out now that I'm sure Papyrus is asleep. He's my little brother, and while I don't want to face these resets alone, I need to make sure he's protected. So that he never ends up like me. On the brink of the edge, with no one to talk to, to trust, and to never, ever be able to let someone new into their world.  I turn over in my bed and teleport near the Ruins. Right where I first met (Y/N). She was just a kid, twelve, eleven maybe. She was an adorable little kid, and spared every monster she met, and made them her friend. She had no enemies... well, at least before she met Undyne. Two seconds later, a spear pierced her, and that was the end of the first one. I was always 18 when she came down here. Time isn't a thing down here, except for her I suppose. And it wasn't until three runs ago when I realized that I really, really liked her. In her last run, I finally told her. And she promised she would stay, because she loves everyone down here, an especially... me. Well, that last shard of hope I had left awhile ago. Now she's just going to reset again. Nothing is ever going to change.
