A/n: Honestly, I know I promised an updating date but I can't keep up with that now. So I guess is whenever. I can legit post twice a week or not even post until two weeks. This is so unprofessional of me (even though I'm not a professional, lol) sorry.

The day for the grand opening party had arrived and the house was buzzing with movements. Nicholas was yelling at us all to get ready, Sienna and I were trying to do each other's hair and make up......while doing each other's hair and make up, Adlai was no where to be found, Yaz and Gregory were not helping matters as they haven't even put in their attire, Nik had left earlier and hadn't returned and Lucy was, of course, no where to be found.

"Guys!!!" I hear Nicholas voice from downstairs.

Sienna was putting the finishing touches on me. After she was done we quickly picked up our purses and dashes downstairs. The guys were already but the remaining people were nowhere to be found.

"Ok. Chop chop to the car." Nicholas open the door and we all crowd outside.

Yaz entered his car and Sienna took the passenger seat. I was about to enter the back when I felt a hand in my wrist. I whipped my head back and saw Nicholas.

"Ride with me?" He suggested, giving a small smile.

"Uh...sure." I closed the door and walked over to his car, stepping into the passenger seat. He steps into the car, starts the ignition and drive away from the house.

The drive is a bit awkward and spend most of it looking around his car. His car is very neat and has a nice small of..... lavender? Yes, lavender. There was a plush black and white dice hanging from the mirror that kept rotating around.

"I'm sorry that I'm being a stuck up," Nicholas says from behind me dragging my mind away from the dice, "I just don't going late to  family occasions."

I give a small laugh. "It's okay Nicholas. I get it. I've had my fair share of this, you're not the only one that hates going late to functions."

Years ago, whenever my father was invited to an occasion and he had to bring my mother and I along , he'll start rushing us from the begining of the day. Being the only man in the house he, of course, didn't understand how we women took out time in getting for such events. That was when he still lived with us.....

"You're look very pretty today." He said softly.

I look down at my outfit. Sienna had done a great job dolling me up. When I told her about the event she had told me she had a perfect dress for the occasion and wasnt telling until the day. I begged and she didnt relent and honestly I'm glad she didn't. She had gotten a sleeveless v-line gold dress that hugs my torso. It was A-line so from my torso it went free stopping just above my knee. My hair was curled bouncy, let down to my shoulder. The whole outfit was couples with gold shoes and purse with the appropriate amount of makeup, nothing to shining, I looked good.

"Why thank you, you don't look bad yourself." I tease him making him laugh.

"Well I'm no Cruella but I try." He said shrugging.

We both laugh.

"I wanted to warn you guys, my family can be a bit..... embarrassing-"

"Every family a bit embarrassing." I roll my eyes.

"Well, my family is a lot embarrassing so oversee most of the things they do....and possibly say, yeah?"

"I make no promises." I raise my hands in the air.

"Should have known." He muttered.

I giggle.

We return back to silence, but a comfortable one. He drove farther away, into the city taking me back to the old say when we were in highschool.
