Grace POV:

My name is Grace Huggins. I currently live in California with my dad. After it was brought to the attention of my teachers and my dad that I was being bullied in school, it was decided that after 8th grade I would go to live with my mother and brother, Reginald in a small town in Maine. My brother hasn't seen me in years. He is 1 year older than me, so he is 15.

"Dad are you sure I can't just stay here? It really wasn't that big of a deal and I'm going into high school now anyway so maybe the bullying will fix itself?"

My father sighed, "You know I love having you here, but for your sake it's best that you move in with your mom at least for a little while." He stated sadly as he loaded my suitcase into his truck. "Are you ready to go?"

"I guess so." I stepped into the truck and sat down in the passengers seat. Normally I would've listened to music right now, but these were the last moments I'd have with my dad for a while, so I kept it off and talked with my dad.

As I sat down in my seat on the plane I took my Walkman (I think that's what it's called idk) out and listened to music. As I was listening to music I took my book out and began reading Pet Sematary by Stephen King.

The plane ride went by pretty fast for the most part. When I got off the plane I went out looking for my mother or Reggie. I saw my mother in a blue car, and my brother next to her in the passengers seat. I smiled and walked up to the car. Reggie got out and helped me put my luggage in the trunk of the small vehicle. I hugged him and said hi.

The whole time we drove back to their house... which I guess was also my house now, I stared out the window looking at the town. It was small and seemed a bit boring but it was a nice change of pace from California.

Okay so like I don't know if all the things I said in here were correct considering the fact that it was set in like the late 80's but it's okay 💕. And don't hate on my writing skills cause girlies there's a reason I dropped out of my gate English class last year. And yes I know this part is short but it was originally going to be much shorter and less detailed because it's meant to be an introduction. AND ALSO I HAVENT WRITTEN IN LITERALLY FOREVER SO MB IF ITS BAD. Oh and also I'm annoying and like to add songs in the beginning of like every part because I think my music taste is superior to everyone else's (everyone hates my music taste) ❤️❤️. And like sorry but like all the chapter name things are super basic because I didn't know what to put but I didn't wanna leave it as just a number because then I'd get myself confused. Omg and also sorry that the title of this book sucks like I didn't know what to name it so if y'all have ideas go ahead and put them because like I'm not creative.
