HE LOOKS UP GRINNING LIKE A DEVIL

(Okay so this part is going to be a bit weird because there's a major time skip, but bear with me.)

Grace POV:
School starts next week. I spent all summer hanging out with the losers club and, on occasion I hung out with Reggie and his friends. I don't know why everyone called them a "gang" and said they were horrible... they never gave me any real reason to believe that they were how people said. They were at times very mean to people but everyone loses their temper sometimes, they never actually physically harmed anyone... at least not it front of me. I was going to go with Reggie and his friends to the school today to pick up our schedules for the new school year. After we did that I was going to meet up with Bev and the guys.

"Grace hurry up we're all waiting on you!" Reggie yelled from downstairs as I heard the door open and close. I assume his friends had just arrived.

"Hold on I'm just putting my shoes on!" I yelled back from my room. I tied my shoes and started walking down the stairs. I could hear the whispered conversation that my brother and his friends were having. Well, I mean I couldn't hear it well due to the fact that it was being whispered.

"I'm warning you, do not act like that in front of her!" I heard Reggie whisper-yell in a stern tone.

"Oh come on what's the harm?" Patrick whisper-yelled back as Henry groaned in annoyance at Reggie's words.

"Just don't do it in front of Gra-" as he was about to finish saying my name I walked down the stairs. Reggie's back was to me so he didn't see me initially. Victor elbowed him in the side and gestures behind towards me.

"Don't do what in front of who?" I asked suspiciously. It was obvious they were talking about me.

"Nothing." Reggie said dismissively as he walked closer to the door. "Come on." He said as he swung the door open and walked out, Henry and Victor followed behind him. Patrick stood in front of me but once he got to the doorway he stopped for a moment and stepped aside. "Ladies first." He said as he smirked and waited for me to walk ahead of him. I rolled my eyes as I walked past him. He was always doing and saying things like this but I never took it seriously because he just acts like that. He followed behind me and closed the door once he was out.

We were walking to the school since we only lived a few blocks away and none of us had a drivers license yet.

"You're going into freshman year right?" Victor asked me as we walked.

"Yeah. You guys are going to be sophomores?"

The boys nodded.

"Why did you move here right now? Like why right before high school?" Henry asked curiously.

I frowned slightly at the question. No one except for my parents knew that I moved due to how badly I was being bullied... not even Reggie. "I- um I..."

Reggie stopped as we were now very close to the school. "What's wrong? Did something happen? Is that why you suddenly moved?"

"Y-you know how I was sorta being bullied at school?" I asked.

"Yeah?" He said as he looked at me with raised eyebrows.

"Once we got into middle school it um got really bad." My frown deepened. I wasn't going any more into detail. This was all the information he was getting.

Reggie smiled reassuringly at me. "Don't worry that won't happen here." I could tell he wanted to ask more but he refrained.

Henry glared at me slightly when Reggie said this. "Well no shit it's not going to happe-"
