Vol-2: Chapter 10.2

How I feel when I find out that someone I'm uncomfortable with has a desire for me.

Étienne organized his thoughts with a wry smile.

As one of the few dominant alphas in the empire, it was likely that Theodore was drawn to him because of his instincts as an alpha.

Then it was right to keep more distance from him than now. Etienne, having made a decision, opened his mouth.

“I know that Young master isn’t lying. But I am uncomfortable with your kindness.”

“…...Did I do anything wrong to Your Highness?”

Theodore's expression collapsed at Étienne's refusal. He pursed his lips with a miserable face.

"That's not right. but….I am not worthy of your allegiance.”

Since he was lusting after him, he couldn't openly say that, so Étienne glossed over the reasons for rejecting him. Then Theodore's face turned fierce. A locked voice escaped from between trembling lips.

"I can not understand."

“You don’t have to understand.”

Etienne snapped and spoke more coldly. At this point he wanted Theodore to back off. Getting involved with someone was just exhausting. But Theodore didn't move according to Etienne's wishes.

“Do you hate me that much? Which one do you not like about me? Tell me and I will fix it.”

“I didn’t say that.”

"Sure?"

“As I said before, I am not a great person worthy of your service…..”

“I decide whom to serve!”

Theodore shouted with a teary face. His eyes stared at Étienne and burned like raging fire.

“Why do you keep pushing me away!”
“Huh.”

Without a chance to defend himself, Theodore seized Etienne's arm. As a trained knight, Theodore's power was strong. Étienne frowned at the pain he felt in her arm.

“Leave me!”

“Tell me. Why? I can understand it!”

An excited Theodore raised his voice. He was tired of repeated rejection. It was a long time ago that Theodore had a crush on Etienne. He didn't even know why. It's just that he kept looking at Etienne from sometime on. Looking at him, for some reason, thirst awoke, and his heart became restless.

He knew long ago that Étienne did not like him. But Theodore did not give up. He believed that if he worked hard, he would be able to communicate his sincerity someday.

But Étienne was always cold to Theodore. He seemed to know something deep that even Theodore himself could not quite define.

It was the same today. He mustered up the courage to show his sincerity and Éttienne coldly rejected him. Theodore couldn't understand why. He would have understood it if he had said that he hated it. But Étienne gave an absurd reason.

The quick-witted Theodore quickly recognized that Etienne was lying to him. Étienne was hiding his real reason. That's why he was more excited than usual.

"I am…..!”

“What is this?”

When Theodore, who had lost his senses momentarily, opened his mouth again, his ice-cold, rock-heavy voice interrupted. Right after that, a force as ferocious as a beast's teeth seized Theodore's wrist.
