CHAPTER TWO

"WRONG BATHROOM?"

<><><>

I

I woke up at 7 o'clock, just like every school day. My alarm ringing in my ears. My dad had picked me up yesterday from Dustin's house.

I hit my alarm making the noise stop, I climbed out of bed and threw on my clothes.

I heard the TV playing echoing through the house, meaning somehow my dad was up early or he fell asleep watching it, most likely being the second option.

I walked into the living room to find him lying on the couch, I ran into he kitchen to grab a pan and a wooden spoon and walked towards him.

I began banging the spoon on the pan so it made a loud crash. My dad jumped up at the loud noise and fell on the floor.

"Can you take me to school?" I asked him after about another 30 seconds of this and him shouting at me to stop.

"Yeah, and don't ever do that again, please" He said rubbing his head, I shrugged my shoulders in response and went into the kitchen to put the pan and spoon away. Making myself breakfast.

I heard the phone ring, and walked towards it answer it. "Hello?"

"Oh hi, Maddy, it's Joyce, I was wondering did Will stay at one of the boys house's yesterday?"

"Erm, no I saw him bike towards yours once we got to Dustin's. Why didn't he come home?" I asked, now getting a little worried. Feeling a sense of guilt grow in my body.

"You know what he probably went to school early today. I'll talk to you later, Bye" and with that she hung up, I knew Will didn't have anything going on in the morning, no clubs or detention, especially on a Monday morning.

"Madison are you done, we're leaving hurry up!" I heard Hopper call. I slowly made my way over to him, now not feeling up to going to school, well to be honest everyday I feel like that, but now knowing Joyce didn't know where he son was made it worse.

"What's wrong with you, your not talking as much as you normally do, I normally have to shut you up" Hopper said as we were approaching school.

"Nothing, just have stuff on my mind at the moment" I said looking out the window. We pulled up to Hawkins High School and I began getting out the car.

I felt a few stares on me, while I was getting out the car. It wasn't a blessing being the Chiefs daughter, being known as the 'snitch'.

"Have a good day at school, Bye." Hopper said once I closed the door.

"Bye" I mumbled back walking towards the school entrance.

I made my way down the hallway towards my locker, I looked around to see if I could see Johnathan anywhere.

My eyes caught Nancy walking into he bathroom across from me, and Barb walking to her first class. I did a scan of the hallway again, looking for someone I knew.

The only person I talk to is Johnathan, I knew Nancy obviously but we don't talk anymore. I had a feeling Johnathan mustn't be coming in because of the phone call I got this morning. I was going to be alone for the rest of the day.

Great.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't the snitch" I spun around to Carol who were now next to me, this wasn't going to end good.

"Can you pick on someone else today, I've got a lot of things going on and would appreciate the peace" I said trying to walk past Tommy H, he moved so I couldn't get past him.

"Where's the freak today then?" Tommy H asked. I tried getting past again, but once again couldn't.

"I have to get to class, please move" I said in a more demanding way "And I don't know where he is today"

"Did he leave you, everyone leaves you don't they Madison" Carol began to chuckle.

"Just like your sister, what was her name, Sasha, wait no Sara" I felt my eyes begin to water, I pushed the tears back I didn't want them to see me vulnerable. I had always been emotionally once hearing Sara's name.

This time I forced my way past Tommy H and ran to the bathroom where Nancy had just come out of.

I walked into the bathroom, to find the one and only Steve Harrington.

Wait Steve Harrington.

Am I in the wrong bathroom, shit!

"Oh erm" I said turning around, I still had tears running down my face.

"You are in the right bathroom if that's what you are wondering, I was talking to Nancy" Steve explained, wait he was talking to me, the Steve Harrington whose friends just made me cry.

Wait am I still crying?

Is my face red? shit!

"Hey what's wrong?" He asked.

"Like you care. And get out, pervert" I said pointing to the door.

"Alright I'm going, chill!" He said picking up he bag and he began walking outside. "By the way, you have mascara around your eyes and rolling down your face" and he walked out.

Shit! How am I gonna fix that!

I walked to the mirror, scanning my face. I splashed water all over my face cleaning of the little amount of makeup I had on.

After around ten minutes, I looked half decent again and began walking to class. Which was the class that I so happened to share with Steve, Carol and Tommy H.

"Ahh! Miss Hopper late again." Was the first thing I heard when I walked into the class room. "You are going to have to take a seat next to Mr Harrington, there's no others left" Just great this day couldn't get any better.

I walked over and placed my bag on the floor and sat down, I felt his gaze on me, but also knew Carol and Tommy H were glaring at me. I just concentrated on what was Infront of me and the rest of the lesson.
