"Wait wait wait slow down. What happened?" Kite asked after Gon had speed-talked his way through the whole story, so fast that Kite lost him after only the first couple sentences.

"Killua is missing and I'm really worried," Gon said, worry showing in his eyes, and Kite knew he wasn't lying.

"Alright, I got that part. I'm gonna need more details than that. Do you have any idea where he is?" Kite tried to pry more details out of Gon, but the boy's mind seemed to have entered a frenzy and Kite sighed.

"I don't think I have a choice here. I'm gonna look through his mind and see if I can find any details that might lead us in the right direction." He looked at Leorio for approval, and the raven haired man sighed. He had seen Kite use this technique back when Kite was his teacher and it wasn't ideal in terms of privacy but Gon seemed to be shaken to the point of no return.

"Uh...Gon?" Leorio said, placing a comforting hand on Gon's shoulder. Gon seemed to snap out of his thoughts and turned around. "Kite is going to basically read your mind if that's ok. He wants to find out if there are any details buried in your memory that could give us clues as to where Killua is."

Gon's eyes went wide with shock before be managed to ask "Wait you can do that? How?"

Kite chuckled. "It's a family secret. Maybe I'll show you some day. We have eternity after all. So can I do it? I promise if anything embarrassing comes up I'll keep it to myself but considering that you said the last time you saw him was yesterday I probably won't have to go back far." Gon nodded, giving permission.

Kite gently pressed his hands onto either side of Gon's face, about where his temples were, and closed his eyes in concentration. Gon lost consciousness in a couple of seconds, giving Kite full access to every piece of information stored in his brain. He could have theoretically done whatever he wanted with all of the knowledge and memories but he'd never seen any reasons to use his ability for bad. His father had different views and was now serving in hell.

Kite searched, rewinding Gon's memory about a day prior, and watched it through the day. He noticed Killua in the back round of most of Gon's memories. He was fuzzily outlined in pink, and other people were fuzzily outlined in yellow, which in the brain's memory is the color of friendship. He smiled to himself, knowing that Gon's thoughts about Killua were private but it felt as if he knew something that no one else should find out. And he did.

He concentrated once more, and finally once he got to when Gon woke up, Killua wasn't anywhere within his memory anymore. All Kite could sense was an unexplainable sense of panic. As if there was some reason Gon had to believe that Killua was in danger but even Gon wasn't sure what it was.

Kite went back, and noticed that there was a slight sound of padding foot steps in the middle of Gon's sleep, and then the steps stopped and there was a slight whooshing sound. His eyes opened wide, and he exited Gon's mind, and stepped back from the green haired boy as he regained his consciousness.

"Did you find anything?" Gon asked, somewhat groggily, which would go away after a few minutes.

Kite hesitated before saying "You guys initially asked me if it was possible for someone to fall through the clouds. I've never heard of that happening. But I found something in your memory Gon, that leads me to believe Mr. Killua may have fallen past the clouds, and if I remember correctly that means he might be in the underworld right now."
