Suddenly I remembered something Aulora used to say to me. We don't need games to entertain ourselves when we have each other.
I must have been frowning because the twins were giving me a worried look.
"Are you ok?" Jun asked, a little concerned.
"Yeah, just thinking about Aulora." I sighed.
"Stop frowning, you'll give yourself wrinkles." Nivera chastised.
This put a smile on my face. "It's like the sun came out from behind the clouds!" Jun clapped his hands in excitement. Silly Fortnite nerd.
Hander came in a couple minutes later. "You Fortnite addicts ready for dinner?"
It's night? Already?
Jun and Nivera's stomachs answered with grumbles. "I thought you'd never ask," Jun grinned.
We went into the kitchen to find Nashi stirring soup in a pot. The orange liquid was full of vegetables. She froze, her gaze met mine. "I wasn't sure if you'd be staying for dinner, Lexum." Nashi waited patiently for me to say something.
Nivera beat me to it.
Speaking for me, "His parents don't exactly know where he is, and I don't think Lexum's going back anytime soon." She smiled at me, amused by my silence.
I must have spaced out because Nashi was trying to get my attention.
"Lexum!" The Twin's mom waved a hand in from of my face. The other hand holds a bowl of soup. It was a miracle she hadn't dropped it.
Nashi must be used to doing two things at once.
