"my head hurts."

i said while clutching Jeongin's hand for moral support. he did the same. it was really bad.

"i don't feel anything?"

Hyunjin said.

"no, i feel it too. my head's starting to hurt and i want to throw up"

Jisung said as he leaned on Jeongin's shoulder for support.

we stopped moving all of a sudden. Chan had stopped the bus entirely.

"sorry we'll get going in a bit. my head just hurts like a bitch right now"

he said as he stumbled out and sat in the back with us.

"y/n, Jeongin, and Jisung have headaches too. is it because we decided to go on the path away from the system and they're getting revenge?"

Minho reasoned. i don't even care about his reasoning. i just want to get rid of this headache.

"it's hot"

i said while taking off my jacket. it's presumably the middle of Spring. it's not supposed to be this hot.

"y/n it's not hot. it's like 60 degrees"

Changbin said worriedly while watching me. Hyunjin came up to me and put a hand on my forehead. he moved onto Jeongin while Seungmin checked Jisung and Chan.

"y/n and Jeongin are running fevers"

Hyunjin said while putting my jacket back on me despite my protests.

"everything hurts so much"

Jeongin said while laying down.

"Jisung and Chan don't have anything wrong with them now. they might get fevers later because their headaches developed later"

Seungmin said as everyone around us went into panic mode. well, besides me and the other sick ones. we didn't give a fuck about anything right now.

"calm down everyone"

Minho shouted. the four of us with headaches winced at the noise and he quieted down.

"we need to take care of the other four right now and get out of here. straying from the system is probably what's causing their headaches, so we have to get to the end of this path"

he continued. everyone nodded and got to work.

"i can drive. you guys can take care of the others"

Changbin said as he got the key from Chan and started the bus again.

"Felix, can you go sit in the front next to Changbin? he needs help with navigation and you have the compass"

Minho instructed. Felix quickly ran to the front and sat next to Changbin while discussing directions.

all of a sudden Jisung and Chan collapsed onto the floor. they almost hit the floor until Minho caught them both.

"Hyunjin, Seungmin, take care of the other two. i got these two"

he said as he tried to lift them back onto the seats.

"i can take care of y/n"

Seungmin volunteered as Hyunjin nodded and tended to Jeongin.

"what the fuck kind of survival shit are we doing right now"

i sighed as i took my jacket off again. it's way too hot.

"i don't fucking know man we were just brainwashed and escaped like something out of a Marvel movie"

Seungmin said as he wiped my sweat with his sleeve.

"we're gonna stop at the lake up ahead in a bit so they can cool down"

Changbin called from the front. Jisung was throwing up over the side of the car and Chan was curled up while looking miserable. Jeongin was just passed out.

"why the fuck is this happening to us"

Felix looked pissed in the front seat as he threw the compass onto the dashboard, almost shattering it.

"what if we don't get better"

i said anxiously. everyone around me was starting to get sick, hurt, angry, frustrated, literally everything negative.

"you're going to get better, we'll take care of each other"

Seungmin reassured me as he unstuck my hair from my face. things looked shitty as hell. everyone's starting to feel the effects of taking the other path.

"see we're almost at the lake. it'll be cool and then you won't be hot"

he reassured as he pressed his hand to my forehead and let me squeeze his other hand for support.

"ma'am you're going to end up piercing holes in my hand with your nails please-"

Seungmin said as he begged for me to loosen my grip a little. i didn't, but i did take my nails out of his hand.

"Seungmin, Hyunjin, take those two to the lake. Changbin's about to park. i'll take Chan"

Minho said as he helped Chan stand. Seungmin and Hyunjin did the same to their designated 'patients'.

"Seungmin i want to go swimming. it's hot"

i said while pointing to the lake. honestly i was just dying for anything to cool me down.

Seungmin set me down in the lake and i felt instant relief.

"HEY SEUNGMIN. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU"
