Isaac, Lydia, Deaton, and Grace heard the splashing of water from the front of the building. The four went rushing to the bathtubs immediately to see all three exiting the ice water and gasping for air.
"I saw it, I know where it is!" Scott exclaimed.
"We passed it. There's- There's a stump, this huge tree. Well, it's not huge anymore. It was cut down, but it was still very big, though. Very big," Stiles rambled.
"It was the night we were looking for the body," Scott told him.
"Yeah," the best friends agreed. "The same night you were hit by Peter."
"I was there too, in the car with my mother," Allison said, still trying to regain her breath. "We almost hit someone."
"It was me," Scott realized. "You almost hit me," He turned back to the vet. "We can find it."
The four looked at them silently whilst exchanging looks.
"What?" Allison asked them.
"You guys were out a long time," Isaac told them.
"How long is a long time?" Stiles asked, mainly looking at Grace.
"16 hours."
"We were in the water for sixteen hours?"
"Full moon's in less than four," Grace told them.
Scott started to entertain the idea of going to Deucalion. The name still brought a chill down Grace's spine. She had only been fully awake from her recovery for less than a day. And after all, he did try to kill her.
"There is no way you're going back with them," Stiles told him, pacing around Scott.
"I made a deal with Deucalion," Scott said, looking at Grace before lowering his eyes back down in shame.
Deucalion had almost killed her and he had left her there to die. It was something he greatly regretted, and he was over the moon that she was still alive to tell the tale. Scott was beginning to like the girl, ever since she helped them with Boyd and Cora, he knew in his bones she was good.
Scott wanted her to be with them, and now she finally was, and as soon as she does that, he goes and decides to make a deal with the man who almost killed her. It wasn't a sight he wanted to remember. He saw all of the torn tissue and muscle protruding out of her stomach and collarbone, blood soaking her clothes and hair, her choking on all of the blood before falling unconscious. It was a miracle that she was still alive.
