"my unsolicited advice? kill them. whoever it is."

Grace hadn't been at school for two days. Two entire days. Nobody had seen her for forty-eight hours. Nobody except Colbie and Alan Deaton.

Letharia Vulpina can only poison a fox for up to 24 hours, but with the help of a few other herbs that she and Deaton had been searching for, it could be lengthened to 72 hours.

And they needed all the time they could get without the nogitsune causing them any trouble.

So, for two days since Stiles had gone missing, a demonic Japanese fox spirit controlling his body, Grace had also gone off the grid. It wasn't like she was purposefully avoiding calls (even though she definitely was), it was just the circumstance. They all needed to do something to help Stiles, and for her, this happened to be it.

Scott, Lydia, Allison, and even Derek had asked Colbie if she knew where her sister was. And of course Colbie knew. She was her sister, why wouldn't she know?

Colbie gave them the same answer every time they asked. "She's out looking for answers."

And, so was she. The blonde had pulled out all of the spell books, trying to find anything about a nogitsune. Or even kitsunes in general. She was coming up empty.

Colbie never thought that she could be of great help, especially since she didn't have a firm grasp of the situation. She barely knew Stiles, she barely knew anything about the supernatural outside of Celtic Witches.

She slammed each spell book shut with an angry expression on her face.

How was she supposed to help at all?

What was she even supposed to do to help?

Of course, she wanted to help the boy. Nobody deserves to be possessed, after all, she had seen a lot of it throughout her childhood.

She had known that was the reason she wanted to help him. Colbie hated the fact that he was trapped in his mind. Enslaved to the fox in his brain.

It was why she was so happy to hear her phone ringing with a call from her sister.

"Are you okay?" It was the first thing she asked her little sister.

"Yeah," Grace said breathlessly. "I'm fine, I'm at the animal clinic actually. Deaton's going to get the lichen now," Grace said. "I wanted to ask you something."

"Go for it," Colbie said, leaning back on the cushion of the sofa.

"Do you know what Usnea Articulata is?" Grace asked her. "It's the last ingredient to make the poison."
