End of an era

"I didn't mean to... I didn't mean to... I didn't mean to" Denwen kept on murmuring even as tears streamed down heavily from his eyes, he was held in the air by El'run as they continued to move far from the capital sometimes, they would encounter some imps flying up to meet them but El'run made quick work of them with laser beams coming out of his suit. "Your majesty, you need to get a hold of yourself" El'run said as he just shut down another imp trying to swipe at them.

"This should be far enough" El'run said as he landed in an unknown snowy desert that had nothing but snow present.

"I didn't mean to" Denwen was still said with tears streaming down

PA

A loud sound resounded echoed around the environment, Denwen stunned that he was struck looked at El'run as tears kept flowing from his eyes but he didn't murmur no more

"Your majesty I am really sorry and I would take any punishment you dish out to me even to end my life but right now I need you to take a hold of yourself and take a good look around, we are in this place to avoid the war going on" El'run said as he held onto the prince "Right, now your majesty, his Grace your father is fighting a tedious battle and I know he would come out on top, but I need you to have the same level of trust I have in your father, can you do that" Denwen begun to nod seriously. "Now that's more like it" El'run said as he brought his two hands to the floor and it begun to light up,

SHING

The snow on a distance of a ten meters square gained a metallic color as an average room of ten meters square began to form. As it came together, the light bulbs came on as a chimney spot was added as the room fully took shape, a bed appeared but didn't have the look of a bed although the texture felt like one. El'run then stretched his arm and a laser beam hit the chimney. Although there was a fire that produce heat, it didn't produce smoke, he then bent down and picked up Denwen and placed his on the bed, "Your majesty, I do not have enough nanites to complete the best structure for you so I am really sorry you had to stay in a place like this, we are going to shelter here for the night until his majesty calls us back. Take your rest in the main time as I prepare a cup of tea for you" El'run just smiled and turned to leave

"Old man El" Denwen called out weakly

"Your majesty?" El'run turned around as he heard his name

"Do you really think Dad would win"

"Of course I do, I am so sure that I would trade my life for it any day and any time"

Denwen hearing this smiled brightly "then I believe, I believe Daddy would win then I would apologize to him, mum, I will even begin to take more royal classes so I will ask uncle Seth why he did that"

"I am sure you would your highness"

Denwen and El'run begun to giggle but suddenly the area around Denwen begun to glitter

"Old man El, what's happening"

"Spatial magic" El'run eyes opened in shock, he wondered why his majesty would want to bring him to himself but then it was his majesty that asked him to run, it was at this moment he felt something had to be wrong

"Spatial lock" El'run voice out as one of his unique abilities of his gadgets was to constrict spatial mages so they couldn't escape once caught, it was a skill he had to develop when the emperor asked him to join the first legion to take down a gamma ranked spatial disasters that had other little disasters.

As the bright light begun to cover, El'run had moved to hold Denwen in order to cancel the move but his brief moment of hesitation caused Denwen to disappear just before his hands got to him.

"No, no no no" El'run murmured as his suit begun to form on his body as the nanites joined together in the next second El'run had blasted off into the skies as he had a bad premonition that something bad is about to happen.

"DENWEN"

Amun screamed when he saw his son appear in his brother's hands, he dropped his swords in surrender as tears began to fall from his eyes, "Seth please, leave my son out of this"

"Brother how stupid do you think I am, do you think I would leave any flaw behind and have a seed of revenge bud in my empire" Seth said already calling the empire his own, Denwen cried begun to kick and punch his uncle all to no avail as it was like pour water on a rock, "I will would spread my dominance and do what you couldn't do, protect the people from the coming threat even if I have to end every single one of you devoted followers."

"I don't care about them just unhand the boy and take me instead, its me you want right? do what you have to do to me and leave him out of this" Amun pleaded with his head on the floor

This came as quite a surprise to Seth as he smiled

"The almighty supreme emperor who no one dares to defy trembling before ..."

"Seth, have mercy, he looked up to you as a mentor" Amun cut him short as he shouted

"Mercy you say" Seth raised Denwen up as a sword formed from Seth's mana "This is mercy"

SPLURT

The sword drove into the body as the sudden change of weight caused Seth to drop it

"You're not the only one who knows spatial magic" Amun was the body as he had swapped positions with Denwen.

Amun the turned to Denwen, a bright light left his index finger as he pointed it at his son and sank into his origin "I am sorry boy, but this is the only way"

Denwen began to warp away but not before he saw his father's head fall with a smile attached on his face like he had won and his uncle approach him speed

"Da..." he couldn't finish his statement as he warped away.

"Fuck" Seth kicked the ground in frustration, he had just killed his brother in anger and couldn't even get a hold of his son as he doesn't even know the place or even plane, he had sent Denwen to. He stretched out his hands once more as space begun to break but later returned to normal "That must have be a move to cancel the coordinates I placed on him and even block my senses from reaching him" Seth sighed "Even in the end brother you still fought to the end"

In a hidden region of space in the sky, a mechanical suit floated as it watched what happened. El'run was shedding immense tears when he saw this as he begun to fly away.

"Now that is one way to end an era" Sith said as he shut the recording device that filmed the whole thing.
