Akshay was neither been in a relationship nor had a crush on someone. This new feel, he has now on Aaru is something different for him yet beautiful. Whenever he sees her, a euphoriaevolves in him without him knowing. That day when she hugged him, he knew that she is someone without whom he will not be able to live anymore. His heart knew that, but his mind seems to have some ego to accept that.
But for Aaru, it's completely the opposite. She is an extrovert who mingles with people so easily and once she started believing in them, she will trust them wholeheartedly. She is scared of relationships because of her toxic previous boy-friend who cheated on her and broke her heart enormously.
But you may ask then why did she hug Akshay that day, it's because he saved her from Ken helped her perform. She did that thinking of him as just A FRIEND. Now, her friend and his friends all are patching up them together, so she is little scared that what if he too betray her. And also thinks of her family situation, her dad's health condition, they can't tolerate to see their daughter crying once again because of heartbreak.
