Chapter 22-

Jenna ' s P.O.V-
I wake up to the buzzing of my phone on my wooden dresser.
I see an incoming call from Valerie.
I look at the time.
3:00 O'clock.

Quickly, I answer knowing it must be important at this time.

"Val what's wrong."

"I..." I hear a sniffle

"It's Sebastian and Jesse." She managed to say.

"Valerie what about them?"

"Car..." Valerie said before breaking out into full tears.

"Valerie calm down tell me are they already in a hospital?"

"Y-yes."

"Which one?"

"The one downtown near Seymour street."

"Okay are you there?"

"No but Noah and Jeremy are there."

"Go there I'll be there as soon as possible."

"Okay."
Quickly, I change into some joggers and my Eisenhower Trojans hoodie.
I slip on my vans and put my phone in my back pocket.

I quickly rush out of my trailer as fast as I can without falling.

I notice Jared's trailer light's still on.

Maybe I should get him I don't want to go alone this time at night.

I decide it would be a good idea but I need to get him quickly.

I rush to his trailer and knock three times.

A few seconds later the door swings open and I see Jared standing there still in his clothes from earlier.

"Jenna what's the matter?"

"I need you to come with me to the hospital."

"Hospital? What happened. "

"Sebastian and Jesse they were in a car crash."
Jared's face goes pale and his eyes show sympathy.

"Okay let me get my jacket and we'll go."

"Okay." I nod crossing my arms over my chest and hugging myself trying to block out the cold.

Jared quickly reappears pulling on his jacket and stuffing his phone and wallet into his pockets.

"Ready?" I ask shivering I seem to forget how cold it gets at night.

Jared nods and places his arm around me in attempt to keep me warm...

Suddenly, I get a text from Valerie.

V- Jenna hurry, it's critical somethings not right.

My heart goes numb and I let the tears fall.

I can't lose them, I can't.

"Come on Jenna be strong for them I know you can do it."
Jared said wiping the tears off my face.

"Come on let's go." I mumbled walking off my body stiff.

When me and Jared get to the hospital I immediately see my friends in the main lobby.

Valerie was pacing back and forth until she saw me.

She rushed towards me and hugged me tightly I hugged back just as tightly letting the tears fall.

Noah and Jeremy walked over to us distressed looks on their faces.

"Any news?" I sniffled wiping away a tear letting go of Valerie.

Noah shook his head silently tears pooling his eyes.

Mindlessly, I walk off and look through the doors of the ER searching desperately for Jesse or Sebastian.

Finally, my eyes land on Jesse his face beat up so much I could barely recognize him. His long curls in a tangled bloody mess pieces of glass sticking out.
It made me want to throw up and cry and scream all at the same time.

Near him I find Sebastian in even worst condition. A bone was sticking out from his arm. His face looked charred probably from a fire.
He was hooked up to so many machines I couldn't count.

I walked away well ran away and ran to where ever my heart took me.

*1 hour later*

I ended up in the choir room at my old school. I sat down where I always sat and thought.

This is where we all came to be one.
I couldn't lose to of the most important people in my life.

It was like losing a family member...
A family member that meant the world to me.
